Abstract

The frame consists of a fixed surround (1) and an opening section (2) with a glazing panel (3), made from separate extrusions. The opening section has a closing strip (10) which is drawn or extruded and made from two materials - one rigid and the other supple to form seals (14,15) for the glazing panel and the fixed surround. The rigid section of the closing strip has a J-shaped section, with its lower branch engaging with a channel (13) in the opening frame. The seal (14) for the glazing panel is in the form of a simple triangular-section lip, while the seal (15) for the fixed frame is semi-circular in section.
