Abstract

The invention relates to a display package comprising a parallelepipedic body having a bottom, which possibly stands on a pallet 2 or on elements forming a pallet with which it is integral, four side walls, 3, 4, 5, 6 perpendicular to the said bottom and, possibly, an upper face parallel with the bottom. In this package, the body comprises a section limited by a pre-cut and/or folding line or lines 7, 8, 9 formed in the lateral walls and possibly in the top face, the said section of the said body being able to be separated from the latter for the purpose of then being fitted to it, or pivoted upwards or downwards with respect to the latter in such a way as to bring one of the faces of the said section into the prolongation of a lateral wall 4 of the said body and/or of the bottom of the latter.

Description

 Present packaging in semi-rigid material.

 The present invention relates to a display packaging in a semi-rigid material, such as corrugated cardboard.

More specifically, it relates to a large display package, preferably mounted on a handling pallet, which is suitable for the transport and the position for sale of various items.

 Such packaging is very popular in hypermarkets or supermarkets, because it has the advantage of lending themselves to the sale of packaged items.

 However, they are not presented in the same form for handling and for display for sale and the users who receive them from the carriers must therefore adapt them, in order to modify their appearance to make them suitable for use as display stands.

 The present invention aims to facilitate this transformation of packaging of this type and to allow users to modify it in a simple manner at the very place of use without using any tool whatsoever.

 To this end, the subject of the invention is a display package comprising a parallelepiped body having a bottom, which optionally rests on a pallet or on elements forming a pallet of which it is integral, four side walls perpendicular to said bottom and, optionally, a face upper parallel to the bottom, this display packaging being characterized in that the packaging body comprises a part limited by one or more precut and / or fold lines formed in the side walls and possibly the upper face, said part of said body capable of being separated therefrom with a view to then being attached thereto, or tilted up or down relative to the latter, so as to bring one of the faces of said part into the extension of a side wall of said body and / or the bottom of it.

 In one embodiment of the invention, a wall of said body bounded by precut lines formed on three or four adjacent faces can be detached from the latter and optionally be made integral, after folding flat around the fold lines provided for this purpose, of the straightened part in the extension of one of the side walls.

 In another embodiment of the invention, a part of said body delimited by precut lines formed on three adjacent faces can be folded around fold lines judicieusenent provided to bring one of its faces in the extension of the bottom.

In the same packaging, a part may possibly be straightened to bring one of its faces in the extension of a lateral part and another part may be lowered to bring one of its faces in the extension of the bottom.

 In another embodiment, the lower part of a side wall of said body is attached by accordion folds to the contiguous side walls so that it can be folded down to come in line with the bottom.

 In another variant, the straightened part to bring one of its faces to its place in the extension of a side wall is articulated on the upper part of the packaging by a folding line and rests, after tilting, on this upper face to form a shelf.

Figures 1 and 2 are perspective views illustrating the passage of the packaging from the container position to the display packaging in the case of a first embodiment;

 In all the figures, the display packaging has the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped and is shown attached by its bottom 1 to a handling pallet 2.

Link understood, it would not go beyond the scope of the invention to produce this packaging without a pallet or other support elements.

 In all the figures; also, for the sake of simplification, the side walls of the packaging are designated by the same reference numbers: 3 for the front face intended to be turned towards the buyers, 4 for the rear face parallel to the face 3, 5 and 6 for the two other walls, perpendicular to walls 3 and 4.

In the embodiments of Figures 1 to 9:
- The wall 3 is divided by a substantially horizontal pre-cut line 7 into two parts, a lower part 3a and an upper part 3b, of larger dimensions;
- from the ends of the pre-cut line 7, pre-cut lines 8 and 9 directed upwards at 45 divide the walls 5 and 6 into two parts 5a, 5b, on the one hand, 6a, 6b, on the other go.

 In the embodiment of Figures 1 and 2, the container body is open at its upper part, which is capped with a lid part (not shown) for the transport of the full package.

The pre-cut lines 8 and 9 do not extend to the upper edge of the corresponding walls, but lead to a bundle 10 of fold lines, allowing, after breaking the pre-cuts of lines 7, 8 and 9 and bellows fold of the lines 10 , to tilt upwards the part formed by the wall partitions 3b, 5b, and 6b to bring in line 3b in the extension of the rear wall 4 (FIG. 2).

 A reinforcing strip 18 may advantageously be embedded in the carton or glued against it parallel to the upper edges of the walls 3, 4, 5 and 6, at the end of the pre-cut lines 8 and 9 in order to stiffen these walls.

 In the variant of FIGS. 3 and 4, the cutting lines 8 and 9 extend to the edge of the walls 5 and thus make it possible to completely separate from the rest of the body the part formed by the portions 3b, 5b, 6b .

Cut-outs 11, made at the upper part of the front face 3, allow the rear face 4 to be engaged therein, after having straightened said assembly, to keep the part 3b straightened in the extension of the rear part 4.

 In the embodiment of FIGS. 5 to 10, the body of the packaging is closed at its upper part and the upper face 12 is divided into two parts 12a and 12b by a line of precuts 13. Part 12b is connected to parts 5a and 5b he side walls by a foldable part 14 in the manner of a bellows (Figure 10) which, when the part 12b is straightened in the extension of the rear face 4 (Figure 7), is placed in the plane of the parts of walls 5a and 6a.

 After separation of the rest of the body from the portion formed by the parts 3b, 5b, 6b and 13b (FIG. 7), the part 12a is separated from the adjacent parts 5b, 6b, and brought in the extension of the part 12a against which the parts 5b, 6b are then applied (Figure 8). Notches 15 allow the flat panel thus produced to be placed in the extension of the wall 4, as shown in FIG. 9.

 In the embodiment of FIG. 11, there is a portion 12b of upper face, connected by a bellows part 14 to the portions of side walls 5a and 6a and which can be straightened to come in the extension of the wall 4. However, the other part of the body of the container, constituted by the portions of walls 3b, 5b, 6b, and 12a, is no longer entirely separable from the rest of the body but is articulated on the latter by a horizontal fold line 16, formed on the front wall cSof it replaces the pre-cut line 7 of the embodiment of FIG. 6 and separates the parts 3a and 3b. It is thus possible to tilt the assembly constituted by the parts 3b towards the front of the container. , 5b, b, 12a, to bring the part 12a to the horizontal, in the extension of the bottom, while the part 3b folded down from 1800 comes to be applied against the part 3aven forming a vertical partition, which separates the display stand from two parts original form that we v oit in figure 11.

 FIG. 13 represents a form of implementation of the invention in which it is the portion 3a of the front wall which is articulated by a bellows portion 17 on the portions of contiguous walls 5a and 6a, so as to be able to be folded down horizontally to be able to be placed in the extension of the bottom. The upper face is no longer divided into two parts 12a, 12b, by a line of precuts, but by a folding line 17 parallel to the wall 4, which makes it possible to straighten the assembly formed by the parts 3b, 5b, 6b and 12a, in order to bring the part 3b in the extension of the rear wall 4 and to fold the part 12a against the part 12b, in order to form a shelf in the original display unit represented in FIG. 13.

 The packaging-presewtoires according to the invention can therefore have extremely different shapes, as shown in the drawings and very easily pass from the container position to that of display without requiring any tool whatsoever from the user.

Claims (6)

 1.- Packaging-display comprising a parallelepiped body having a bottom (1), which possibly rests on a pallet (2) or on elements forming a pallet of which it is integral, four side walls (3, ', 5, 6) perpendicular to said bottom and, optionally an upper face (12) parallel to the bottom, this display packaging being characterized in that the packaging body comprises a part limited by one or more precut lines (7, 8, 9) and / or fold lines (10, 14, 16, 17) formed in the side walls and possibly the upper face, said part of said body being able to be separated from the latter in order to be then attached, or tilted up or down relative to to the latter, so as to bring one of the faces of said part (3b, 12a) in the extension of a side wall (4) of said body and / or of the bottom (1) thereof.  2. A display packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that said detachable part of said body is limited by pre-cut lines (7, 8, 9, 13) formed on three adjacent faces (3, 5, 6) or four adjacent faces (3, 5, 6, 12).  3.- display packaging according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that said part of said body is limited on three adjacent faces (3, 5, 6; 5, 6, 12) by the pre-cut lines and is articulated by a bellows part (10; 14) on two parallel walls (5, 6), so as to allow it to tilt upwards to bring part of said faces (3b; 12b) in line with a side wall ( 4).  4.- display packaging according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said part of said body is limited on two parallel walls (5, 6) thereof and on its upper face (12) by lines of precut and on a wall (3) joining the two parallel walls (5, 6) by a fold line perpendicular to them, in order to allow the tilting of this part downward to bring the lturede of its faces (12a) in the extension of the bottom (1).  5. A display packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that said part of said body is limited on three side walls (3, 5, 6) thereof, by pre-cut lines and on its upper face (12) by a fold line perpendicular to two of these walls (5, 6), in order to allow the tilting of this part upwards to bring one of its faces (12b) in line with the fourth side wall of said body.  6. A display packaging according to claim 5, characterized in that the lower portion (3a) of the wall (3) parallel to the wall (4) in the extension of which is brought a face (3b) of the tiltable part towards the laut is articulated by bellows (17) on the walls (5, 6) adjacent in order to be able to be tilted downwards to come into the extension of the bottom.
