Abstract

The mulching and planting machine is particularly for transplanting melons, tomatoes, shrubs, etc. having a self-supporting chassis hitched to a tractor. It has a rotary knife forming openings in the sheet at regular intervals, and a planting share under the chassis opening up a central furrow for the plants, and then earthing this up again. A supply platform is included. The rotary knife can be keyed to the shaft on which the guide and pressure wheels are mounted, the overall diameter of the knife being greater than that of the wheels.
