Abstract
Le dispositif de protection OPC ferme des valves de régulation 22 et des soupapes d'arrêt 26, lorsqu'il est rendu actif par soit la détection de l'ouverture d'un disjoncteur principal 30 ou la détection que la vitesse de la turbine est supérieure de, par exemple, 103 % à la vitesse de synchronisation. La fermeture des soupapes et valves provoque l'interruption du circuit de vapeur aux sections de turbine haute et basse pression 10-12, de sorte que la vapeur est prisonnière dans le resurchauffeur. Le dispositif OPC est rendu inactif lorsque la vitesse de la turbine n'est plus supérieure à 103 % de la vitesse de synchronisation. En réponse, le dispositif OPC contrôle alors la vitesse de rotation de la turbine en plaçant les soupapes d'arrêt 26 dans une position où la vapeur est admise en venant de resurchauffer à la section basse pression de la turbine selon une fonction continue basée sur la différence entre la vitesse de la turbine et la vitesse de synchronisation. Ainsi, l'énergie de la vapeur emprisonnée dans le resurchauffeur est utilisée pour maintenir la turbine à la vitesse de resynchronisation.
