Abstract

A refrigerating system with a compressor has a collector connected to the air colled condenser. The condenser is connected to the expansion valve with liquid conducting pipe, especially a bypass pipe from the hot gas pipe to the upper chamber of the collector. This bypass pipe has a pressure regulator for regulating the condensing pressure by means of the evaporation of liquid. This arrangement improves the plant efficiency and prevents premixing of the undercooled liquid refrigerant coming from the liquefier with the warmer liquid refrigerant in the collector. The refrigerant in the liquid conducting pipe (9) is connected by openings (10) to the liquid layer above its entry point on the collector (3). These openings ensure the rising of the evaporated refrigerant from the liquid conducting pipe (9) into the collector.
