Abstract

The base comprises a triangular frame (12) with spacers (13). At the top is a pivot (11) for the seat frame (10), this being padded (10') and having a raised rear (10"). The back (18) of tubular construction, has a padded surface (18'), its lower end pivoting (17) under the seat frame. This pivot is positioned accurately and a spring (16) connects seat and back. A telescopic spring (15) also connects the seat frame rear to a bottom spacer. Guides (25, 26) attached to seat and back slide along a common pivot (27) on the side of the base, being tightened and released by a handle. These adjust the positions and act as stops.
