Description
- The present invention relates to a positioning and supporting group for the rapid assembly to the wall of a piece of furniture, cantilever extending from the wall itself.
- The group according to the invention is preferably but not necessarily used for the cantilever wall assembly of a base of a piece of furniture, using so-called base-bracket devices of the visible type.
- Visible base-brackets are well-known to experts in the field and, in short, consist of a device which is fixed inside the shoulder of the base. A hook extends from said device, which is suitable for being connected, for example, to the window of a plate fixed to the wall.
- The position of the hook can be regulated in height (vertical) and in depth (horizontal), so as to register the position of the base on the wall, and with respect to other adjacent bases.
- A base-bracket of this type is described for example in European patent application
EP2303068 . - An example of a plate which can be used, in its general configuration, with said base-brackets is described, for example, in
Italian patent applications MI2010A001674 of September 15, 2010 MI2011A000590 of April 11, 2011 - A further positioning and supporting group is known from
DE 20 2009 000 241U . - An easy, rapid and safe assembly of furniture bases, using the base-bracket devices mentioned above, implies fixing the plates to the wall in a correct position, above all with a reciprocal interaxis substantially identical to that between the hooks of the base-brackets.
- Even small positioning errors, in fact, make it impossible to assemble the piece of furniture, which requires re-positioning of the plates on the wall, with a considerable loss of time and therefore with significant additional costs.
- This drawback mainly arises when various adjacent bases must assembled and when even small differences in height of the interaxes of the plates accumulate, making it practically impossible to assemble all of the bases without adjusting the position of the plates fixed to the wall.
- For the above reasons, the fixing of plates to the wall is an extremely delicate operation, which requires the intervention of expert assemblers.
- The objective of the invention is to overcome the above drawback of the known art, by providing a positioning and supporting group wherein the fixing of the plates to the wall is effected automatically at a reciprocal interaxis which is perfectly identical to that between the hooks of the base-brackets fixed inside the shoulder of the bases.
- The above objective is achieved by a group having the characteristics specified in the enclosed claim 1.
- The structural and functional characteristics of the invention and its advantages with respect to the known art, can be clearly understood from the following description, referring to the enclosed drawings which illustrate embodiments examples of the invention itself.
- In the drawings:
-
figure 1 is a raised front view illustrating the group according to the invention; -

figures 14 and 15 are views respectively illustrating a base of a piece of furniture equipped with a base-bracket, and a positioning and supporting group according to the invention, these figures indicating the dimensional conditions to be satisfied so that the base can be correctly assembled on said group; and -
figure 16 is a detail of a possible means for fixing the group according to the invention to the wall. - The group according to the invention is indicated as a whole with G.
-
Figures 10 and13 of the drawings illustrate a piece of furniture M (for example a base), which must be cantilever-hooked to a series ofplates 20 fixed to a wall P (figures 9 and12 ). - The hooking is effected by means of a corresponding series of base-
bracket devices 21, each of which is fixed inside theshoulder 22 of the piece of furniture M. - For this purpose, the base-
brackets 21 are equipped with aprotruding hook 23 which is connected to a deep-drawnwindow 24 of therelative plate 20. - As already specified, the base-
brackets 21 andplates 20, in their general configuration, can be, for example, of the type widely described and illustrated in the above-mentioned patent applications, to which reference should made for any possible further clarifications. - As is evident from
figures 10-15 of the drawings, and as is well-known to experts in the field, the interaxis "A" between thewindows 24 of theplates 20 and the interaxis "A'" between thehooks 22 must be the same to allow the piece of furniture M (base) to be hooked to theplates 20. Only if this condition is satisfied, can thehooks 23 be connected to thecorresponding window 24, without the necessity of effecting difficult repositioning interventions of theplates 20 on the wall P. - The group and method of use of the same, according to the invention, satisfy this requirement rapidly and automatically.
- With reference to
figures 1-9 of the drawings, the group according to the invention is indicated, as a whole, with the letter G and is structurally composed of the characteristic combination of a bar or drawn wire 25 (made of metal or plastic material, for example) and a plurality ofplates 20. - The
bar 25 andplates 20 are suitable for being fixed to the wall P by means of respective fixing means 27 and 30. - Hereafter, the fixing means 27 are also called third fixing means, whereas the fixing means 30 are also called first fixing means.
- The
bar 25 has a plurality ofholes 26 for the passage of fixing pegs 27 (third fixing means) of thebar 25 itself to the wall P. - According to the invention, between the
bar 25 and theplate 20, there are also second and fourth reciprocal coupling means. - More specifically, in the
bar 25 second coupling means are envisaged, consisting of a plurality of threadedholes 28, suitably interspaced, for the possible fixing on thebar 25 of theplates 20 by means of screws 29 (figures 7 and 8 ). Thescrews 29 pass through theholes 34 in the plate 20 (figure 6 ). Theplates 20 are then fixed to the wall P by means of pegs 30 (first fixing means) passing throughloops 31. - In order to ensure a rapid and precise centring of the
screws 29 with therespective holes 28, thebar 25 and theplate 20 are also equipped with fourth reciprocal coupling means in the form ofrespective pairs - More specifically, said pairs of reference or reciprocal centring means consist of a pair of
holes 32 in thebar 25, and a pair of deep-drawn bushes 33 (with a reamed inlet) in theplate 20. - The pairs of
bushes 33 are accurately inserted in the respective pairs ofholes 32, the threadedhole 28 being situated between these holes 32 (figures 5, 5a, 6 ,7 and 8 ). - Said pairs of reference and centring means 32, 33 also have the function of ensuring the reciprocal positioning of the
plates 20 at the desired interaxis, without the necessity of fixing thesame plates 20 to thebar 25. - As is clearly illustrated and explained in
figures 14 and 15 of the drawings, the heights B, C, D and E between the components of eachplate 20, are such as to ensure that at the moment of assembly of the piece of furniture M to the wall, thehooks 23 of the base-brackets 21 can be rapidly and automatically connected to thewindows 24 of therelative plates 20. - More specifically, according to the invention, the following conditions are satisfied: A=A', wherein A=B+D+D=B+2D and wherein A=C+E+E=C+2E. Wherein A is the interaxis between the
windows 24 of theplates 20. And wherein A' is the interaxis between thehooks 23 of two base-bracket devices 21 fixed to theopposite shoulders 22 of the piece of furniture M (figure 14 ). - The group G according to the invention, can be used, for example, following the phases illustrated in
figures 7-10 of the drawings. - More specifically, the
bar 25 is fixed to the wall P at the desired height and perfectly levelled (figure 7 ). - A plurality of pairs of
plates 20 corresponding to the number of bases M to be assembled, is subsequently correctly positioned on the bar 25 (figure 8 ), using the pairs ofholes 32 and reference bushes 33 (centering), and thesame plates 20 are then firmly fixed directly to the wall P (figure 9 ) by means of thepegs 30, without the necessity of previously fixing them to thebar 25. - In any case, if desired, further fixing
pegs 35 of the group to the wall (fifth fixing means)figure 16 , can be inserted through the reamed inlet of thebushes 33. - At this point, the base M of the piece of furniture can be cantilever-assembled onto the wall P, by introducing and connecting the
hooks 23 of the base-brackets 21 to thecorresponding windows 24 of theplates 20, which will automatically be in position (figure 10 ) for the reasons described above. - Alternatively, it is possible to also proceed as illustrated in
figures 11-13 , as follows: first screwing theplates 20 onto thebar 25 by means of thescrews 29, so as to obtain a rigid group G, and then fixing theplates 20 themselves (group G) to the wall, as illustrated infigures 11 and 12 , by means of thepegs 30. The fixing of thebar 25 to the wall P by means of the pegs 27 - in this mode of use of group G - is optional. - The piece of furniture M can be subsequently assembled to the wall as illustrated in
figure 13 . - The objective mentioned in the preamble of the description has therefore been achieved.
- The protection scope of the invention is defined by the enclosed claims.
