Abstract

A multi-communication system includes a roamable terrestrial portable phone system, a satellite portable phone system, and a fixed telephone system. Each communication system includes an all terminal information register in which subscriber information about all the mobile stations accommodated in the portable phone systems is registered. Each portable phone system registers the subscriber information transmitted from a mobile station in its register when the position of the mobile station is registered and broadcasts the subscriber information to the other communication systems. Each of the other communication systems registers the subscriber information in its register. Hence even if a line connection request to a mobile station is made in any communication system, the line connection request can be transferred directly to the system where the mobile station is present. Therefore, the time taken for a call to reach the mobile station is short.
