Definitions

  • the invention relates, as indicated in the preamble of claim 1, to a headlight for vehicles with a reflector a light source arranged in a focal point of the reflector, with a front of the Reflector arranged lens, with a arranged between reflector and lens and panel made of sheet metal, the edge of the panel crossing the cut-off line created a light figure and with a frame supporting the lens and the aperture.
  • a Headlight for vehicles is known from EP 0 200 928 A2.
  • a Light unit of the headlight consists of an ellipsoidal reflector, one arranged inside the reflector and a light source in front of the reflector arranged and attached to the outer peripheral edge of the reflector Frame, which has a lens and one between lens and reflector Aperture is wearing.
  • An incandescent lamp or a gas discharge lamp can be used as the light source serve.
  • the frame is made from a deep-drawn sheet. Leave deep-drawn sheets deform plastically well and therefore have a very low elasticity.
  • the Frame has a support ring manufactured in the deep-drawing process, in which of the lens from the front of the light unit and the lens in the support ring locking ring is used.
  • the support legs are in one piece with the support ring executed, which are fixed to the outer edge of the reflector.
  • the aperture is via an arm-shaped holding element, which is between two supporting legs of the frame is arranged in one piece with the support ring.
  • the aperture is one of a bending area of the arm-shaped holding element to the pivot point Lens pivoted.
  • the panel is plate-shaped and runs in one plane perpendicular to the light exit direction. The one running in the plane
  • the diaphragm edge of the diaphragm lies in a focal point of the lens and generates one Light-dark boundary of a light figure in the lighting system.
  • the one level running aperture has angled towards the lens at its lateral free ends free end sections, which on the adjacent legs by Laser welding can be fixed.
  • the attachment of the panel to the support legs can also be done by soldering, riveting or screwing.
  • the bezel snaps into place with the support legs is not due to insufficient elasticity of the deep-drawing sheet possible.
  • the end sections of the panel to be locked on the support legs be very long. Here, however, the spring force would be very small and therefore there is no secure locking of the panel to the frame.
  • the lighting system is used to generate fog light.
  • Such lighting systems build much smaller than those that generate asymmetrical light Lighting systems and because of their small size they usually have an aperture, whose diaphragm edge is curved.
  • the arched one Diaphragm edge is formed by a diaphragm, which is a cylindrical wall section.
  • the lens and the aperture are from the side of the reflector into the one with the Reflector connected frame used and on the support ring of the frame set.
  • the headlamp is arcuate Cover made of die-cast zinc and has molded rivets through which the panel can be fixed to the frame. The manufacture of such an aperture is costly and their assembly cumbersome and time consuming.
  • the object of the invention is that described in the preamble of claim 1 To design headlights for vehicles in such a way that the cover on the frame, without having to use an additional fastener, automatically on the Frame can be fixed with a large holding force.
  • the aperture with Aperture edge runs in an arc shape and is a resilient arch part that is attached to its free ends through locking elements engaging in locking openings with the frame is connected and holds the locking elements in the locking openings.
  • the aperture is due to its arcuate course, even an expansion spring, which is simple and is easy to insert into the frame.
  • the aperture does not have to, as in the case of the EP 0 200 928 A2 and DE 35 35 249 A1 headlights with their
  • the diaphragm edge can be adjusted in relation to the lens, because after the Aperture with the frame there is a certain distance from the edge of the aperture to the lens.
  • the diaphragm is the spreading spring itself due to its arcuate shape then also one at the free end sections locked to the frame sufficiently large travel when on a sheet with very little Elasticity is established.
  • the bezel is made like that the EP 0 200 928 A2 known headlights for vehicles, in one piece with the Frame is made of deep-drawn sheet metal. Thermoformed sheets are good plastic deformable and thus have a very small elasticity. You can also Panels made of sheet metal with good plastic deformation, be made so thick-walled that the high resulting at the diaphragm edge Heat is dissipated well via the panel and the frame.
  • the arch formed by the panel is designed as long as possible and the with free ends of the bezel locked to the frame are as far as possible spaced apart when the free ends of the arcuate bezel lie adjacent to a surface in which the diaphragm edge runs. This is a very large spring force and a large spring travel of the aperture on their free Given ends.
  • the panel is when it is mounted from the side of the reflector, without dealing with the Hook frame, easily and quickly locked to the frame when the Latching elements of free ends of the arcuate angled towards the reflector Aperture are formed.
  • the arc-shaped cover is caught in the assembly not possible because the locking elements have a bending area directed towards the lens have, which slides along the frame until the locking elements of the panel engage automatically in the locking openings of the frame.
  • the edge of the aperture is very precisely spaced from the lens, if the angled locking elements of the panel with their rounded Bending area resilient on the inner edge of the reflector Locking opening of the frame and with the narrow towards the reflector Side surface on the narrow inner surface of the latch opening directed towards the lens issue.
  • the locking elements When the locking elements snap into the locking openings, they slide Locking elements with their bending area on the inner facing the reflector Edge of the locking openings along until the locking elements with their towards the reflector directed narrow side surface on the narrow towards the lens Hit the inside surface of the locking opening.
  • the aperture is on in the vertical direction the frame locked exactly when the locking elements with a little play between the narrow inner surfaces of the Engage the locking opening. A small game is necessary, otherwise an automatic one Intervention of the locking elements in the locking opening is not possible.
  • the depth of the reflector, the lens, the panel and the frame The light unit is very small when it engages in the locking openings Locking elements between the free ends of the arcuate panel and the one Support frame of the frame that holds the lens.
  • the aperture exert a very large spring force on the frame without the frame on the Latching points undergo plastic deformation.
  • the bezel is easy to assemble when between the arcuate bezel and there is a pivoting point around the frame, around which the panel can be locked is pivoted towards the lens with the frame.
  • the pivot point can be from one existing plug connection between the panel and frame. Farther there is a third in addition to the locking points due to the pivot point Breakpoint between cover and frame.
  • the aperture edge is also towards the lens in an existing between the locking element and the locking openings Clearance spaced very precisely to the lens when the pivot point of one Area of a one-piece connecting the arcuate diaphragm with the support ring Holding element is formed, by which a spring back of the angled Aperture towards the reflector and a resilient contact of the locking elements on one Inner surface of the locking openings.
  • the angled diaphragm springs back is given because after angling the arcuate aperture towards the lens resilient restoring force exists.
  • the headlight for vehicles has a cup-shaped housing (18) and one Transparent translucent front of the pot-shaped housing Cover disc (19).
  • the outer lens (19) dips circumferential edge in a receiving bed (20) of the housing (18) and is in the Recording bed (20) glued to the housing (18).
  • a lighting system for fog light is formed by the light unit shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, which is much smaller than the lighting system for asymmetrical Dimmed headlights.
  • the light unit for fog light has an ellipsoidal one made of sheet metal Reflector (1), in the inner focal point of which a light source (2) is arranged.
  • the Light source (2) is formed by a lamp (21) with its glass bulb ahead through an opening (22) in the apex area of the reflector (1).
