Definitions
- the invention relates to a rock drill with a clamping shank, at least one four parallel flutes with flutes and a drill head connected to the drill shaft and made entirely of hard metal with four discharge grooves arranged around the circumference, with the clear cross sections of the delivery and flute covers.
- Rock drills of the type in question are used to drill holes in Rock, concrete, masonry and the like. It is known that the rock drill is in the area wear the tip of the drill extremely quickly when drilling in hard ground. That is why rock drills are equipped with hard metal, under hard metal understood sintered or melted carbides, silicates, borides or their alloys become.
- Such a rock drill is known from US Pat. No. 2,673,716.
- This rock drill has a total of hard metal connected to the drill shank Drilling head, the four extraction grooves arranged evenly distributed around the circumference, which run in the longitudinal direction of the drill head.
- the drill head has a centrally arranged projection, which protrudes into a corresponding recess in the drill shank.
- the invention has for its object a rock drill with a hard metal to create existing drill head, which is characterized by high drilling performance, long service life, characterized by quiet running and good drilling cuttings.
- this is achieved in that the discharge grooves of the drill head have a different sized, clear cross section.
- the larger discharge ducts form the main discharge channels and the further discharge pipes, which are made smaller, the secondary discharge channels.
- the clear cross sections of different sizes can be formed of Abfuhmuten, which expediently have a different radial distance from the center of the drill head.
- the radial extension of the first two discharge grooves advantageously corresponds to that 0.05 to 0.25 times the outside diameter of the drill head.
- the radial extension of the two second discharge grooves preferably correspond to 0.1 to 0.35 times the outside diameter of the drill head. Due to the relatively deeply trained execution paths the extent of the discharge grooves in the circumferential direction of the drill head is small and that part the circumference of the drill head, which is supported on the borehole wall, kept large become.
- the Abfuhmuten are arranged running in the longitudinal direction of the drill head.
- the drill cuttings reach the flutes of the Drill shaft, the flutes of the drill shaft advantageously spiral are trained.
- the spiral flutes ensure further transport of the removed cuttings from the deepest part of the borehole to the Surface of the borehole.
- the rock drill shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a clamping shank 1, a drill shaft 2 with four flutes 4, 5, 6, 7 arranged parallel to one another, which are formed in a spiral and one connected to the drill shaft 2, in total made of hard metal drill head 3 with four evenly distributed around the circumference arranged Abfuhmuten 8, 9, 10, 11.
- the radial distances R1 from the center Z of the Boring head 3 of two first, diametrically opposite extraction grooves 8, 10 are smaller than the radial distances R2 from two second diametrically opposite one another Execution 9, 11.
- At least one cutting edge 12 is arranged, which at least partially along the Front side extends over the entire diameter of the drill head 3. This cutting edge 12 is used to remove drill cuttings, not shown.
- the drill head 13 shown in Fig. 3 has four Abfuhmuten 14, 15, 16, 17, the regular are distributed around the circumference.
- the clear cross sections of two first, each other diametrically opposite discharge grooves 14, 16 are larger than the clear ones Cross-sections of two second, diametrically opposite, exhaust grooves 15, 17.
- the extensions B1, B3 of the discharge grooves 14, 16 in the circumferential direction of the drill head 13 are larger than the extensions B2, B4 of the delivery rods 15, 17.
- the discharge grooves 14, 16 are opposite the discharge grooves 15, 17 at an angle W of 90 ° arranged.
- the drill head 23 shown in FIG. 4 has four discharge grooves arranged distributed around the circumference 24, 25, 26, 27, which run in the longitudinal direction of the drill head 23.
- the discharge grooves 24, 25, 26, 27 have a clear cross-section of different sizes. Therefore the Abfuhmuten 24, 25, 26, 27 have a different radial distance R3, R4, R5, R6 from the center Z of the drill head 23.
- the drill head 3 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has an outer diameter D which is essentially of the same size as the outside diameter of the drill shank Second
- the drill head 3 is connected to the drill shaft 2, for example, by a solder connection.
- the better centering during the soldering process and the formation of a Larger connecting surface serve centering means, not shown, in the form of projections on the drill head 3, which are formed in appropriately designed depressions, not shown of the drill shaft 2 protrude. These projections or depressions are special arranged in the central area of the rock drill. Such advances can be conical, for example.
