Abstract

In a two-part case for small electrical apparatus, in particular electric razors, each comprising a frame having, fitted therein, a dished top and bottom respectively and having depositing troughs for the objects to be accommodated in the case, the depositng troughs (5,6 and 7,8) are directly formed both in the top dish (3) and in the bottom dish (4), in such a way that the convex sides of the depositing troughs (5,6 and 7,8) project outwards beyond the frames (1 and 2, respectively). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a two-part case for small electrical appliances, in particular dry shavers, each with a frame with a bowl-shaped lid or bottom adapted therein and with storage troughs for the objects to be accommodated in the case.

In the hitherto usual cases of this type, a special insert is provided for the storage trays, usually a dimensionally stable film made of plastic or the like, into which the storage trays are molded in such a way that they at least partially enclose the device and the other objects in an approximately form-fitting manner, so that they are held securely during transport. This design, in which the two functions of "covering" through the case trays and "holding" through the trough insert of different components, is of course relatively complex, and such cases are relatively tall.

The object of the invention is to provide a case with the simplest possible structure and low overall height, which can be produced economically in a simple manner.

To achieve this object, the invention provides that the storage troughs both in the lid shell and in the Bottom shell are molded directly in such a way that the kenvexen sides of the storage trays protrude outwards beyond the frame.

In the case according to the invention, a special trough insert is omitted, the overall height of the entire case is practically limited to the thickness of the objects to be accommodated plus the wall thicknesses of the base and lid shells, and these objects are held in a form-fitting manner by both shells. Since the convex sides of the storage troughs are visible from the outside and thus shape the external appearance of the case, one can infer for cases for different devices with the case closed even on its content and purpose, without any other labeling being necessary.

The locking and hinge elements are expediently attached to the frame.

According to a first advantageous variant of the invention, the base and cover shells can be mirror images.

Although two different tools are required to manufacture the two shells - which does not play a major role in series production - one is, however, more revealing in the design of the storage troughs and their adaptation to the objects to be picked up.

Another advantageous variant of the invention provides a congruent design of the base and cover shells, which is particularly advantageous for smaller quantities, since only a single tool is required to manufacture the shells and, if appropriate, the frames, in this case are expedient the hinge and closure elements in both shells are designed and arranged in the same way, so that retrofitting operations are essentially eliminated.

Wie aus Fig. 1 ersichtlich, ist das Etui als zweiteiliges Klappetui aus Kunststoff ausgebildet. Jeder Teil besteht aus einem Rahmen 1 bzw. 2, in den je eine Deckelschale 3 und eine Bodenschale 4 eingesetzt und befestigt ist. In beide Schalen 3 bzw. Y sind Ablagemulden 5 und 6 bzw. 7 und 8 direkt eingeformt. Die Höhe der Rahmen 1 und 2 ist gegenüber der Tiefe der Ablagemulden 5 bis 8 so gewählt, daß die konvexen Seiten der Ablagemulden 5 bis 8 über die Rahmen 1 und 2 nach außen vorstehen (Fig. 1). Die Verschlußelemente 9 und 1o und die Scharnierelemente 11 und 12 sind an den Rahmen 1 und 2 in der Welse deckungsgleich angebracht, daß beide Rahmen in einem einzigen Werkzeug gefertigt werden können.An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely:

As can be seen from Fig. 1, the case is designed as a two-part folding case made of plastic. Each part consists of a frame 1 or 2, in each of which a cover shell 3 and a base shell 4 are inserted and fastened. Storage trays 5 and 6 or 7 and 8 are formed directly in both shells 3 and Y, respectively. The height of the frames 1 and 2 is chosen relative to the depth of the storage troughs 5 to 8 so that the convex sides of the storage troughs 5 to 8 protrude beyond the frames 1 and 2 (FIG. 1). The closure elements 9 and 10 and the hinge elements 11 and 12 are congruently attached to the frames 1 and 2 in the catfish so that both frames can be manufactured in a single tool.

As shown in FIG. 3, the storage troughs 5 and 7 or 6 and 8 can be designed and arranged in mirror image according to a first variant, but they can also be molded into the shells 3 and 4 according to FIG. 4 in a congruent manner; these storage troughs are designated in Fig. 4 with 6 'and 8' or 5 'and 7'.

Since, as already mentioned, the hinge elements 11 and 12 and the closure elements 9 and 10 on both frames 1 and 2 are congruent, both the frame and the cover and base shells with their storage trays can be made from a single tool.

Claims (5)

Two-piece case for small electrical appliances, especially dry shavers, each with a frame with a bowl-shaped lid or bottom fitted therein and with storage trays for the objects to be accommodated in the case, characterized in that the storage trays (5, 6 and 7, 8) both are molded directly into the lid shell (3) and into the bottom shell (4) such that the convex sides of the storage trays (5, 6 and 7, 8) protrude outwards beyond the frames (1 and 2). 2. Case according to claim 1, characterized in that the closure and hinge elements (9, 10 and 11, 12) are attached to the frame. 3. Case according to claim 1, characterized in that the bottom and lid shells (3 and 4) are mirror images (Fig. 3). 4. Case according to claim 1, characterized in that the bottom and cover shells (3 'and 4') are congruent (Fig. 4). 5. Case according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the hinge and closure elements (1 ₁ , 12 and 9, lo) are formed and arranged in the same way in both case parts.
