Description

Cleaning agent It has been found that one is a very effective cleaning agent for textiles, leather, paper, plastics, wooden surfaces, metal surfaces, etc. when preparing aqueous solutions of ether alcohols in which surface-active Compounds are dissolved, and these solutions may have small amounts volatile, organic solvent and ammonia or less odorous, water-soluble Amine bases added. The following are examples of ether alcohols: mono-alkyl, -cycloalkyl or -arylalkyl ethers of glycol and corresponding propane, butane, Pentanediols, etc., mono- or dialkyl, cycloalkyl or arylalkyl ethers of glycerol and furfuryl alcohol, tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol and the like as surface active compounds are primarily soaps and especially fatty alcohol sulfonates, also water-soluble Salts of anion-active organic sulfonic acids, surface-active ethylene oxide addition products etc. used. These solutions are characterized by an excellent cleaning effect and are particularly useful for removing stains. The new detergents are clear, weakly colored solutions with a weak, pleasant odor. they are non-volatile and non-flammable. Furthermore, they are different with water Adjustable concentrations.

In general, 15 to 5o% ether alcohols, 5 to 30% surface-active compounds, 2 to 8% volatile organic solvents, such as e.g. B. ether, chloroform, trichlorethylene, carbon tetrachloride, gasoline, benzene, etc. or their mixtures, about 2 to 6 % ammonia or amine bases, such as. B. mono-, di- or triethanolamine. The rest is water.

The cleaning agents can be used immediately to remove stains the aforementioned materials can be applied. It is also possible diluted Prepare aqueous solutions of cleaning agents in which the cleaning agents Materials can be treated. It will do all kinds of stains, for example also removes ink stains, blood stains, grass stains without difficulty. the Treatment with the detergents does not cause any damage to the treated Materials, especially no color changes or fiber damage. Next is it is advantageous that the agents, provided that hardness-resistant anion soaps are used, Can also be used with hard water (sea water) without the precipitation of lime soap arises. On the contrary, it is found that the agents have a softening effect exercise, for example when cleaning leather gloves. Example 12.5 parts by weight the mixture of sodium salts from a coconut oil fatty alcohol sulfonate are expedient mixed with gentle heating with 25 parts by weight of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol. A suspension is formed which becomes clear when 50 parts by volume of water are added. After cooling, 6.3 parts by weight of chloroform and 6.3 parts by weight are added to the clear solution Parts by weight of ammonia too. A clear, stable solution is obtained that can be used as a stain cleaner can be used.

Tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol can also be used in place of pure tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol Use mixtures containing such. B. the corresponding in the furfural hydrogenation resulting technical mixture, which in addition to tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol certain Contains amounts of z, 2- and z, 5-pentanediol.
