Abstract

The board is made by depositing upon the same wire, several superposed pulp layers laid by successive headboxes. At least two-headboxes lay thick pulp, of such high consistency that all fibres on the wire cannot move significantly and impede dewatering of the superposed layers. Pref. the layers of thick pulp are core layers, and thick pulp consistency is above 1.5%, and specifically is 2-4%. Specifically board wt. is 150-300 gm. per sq. m.
