Der Nachteil ist, daß sie aus steifem und für den feinen Anwendungszweck zu grobem Material bestehen. Wegen der Steifigkeit muß der Spalt exakt geführt werden, damit die Zecke sich einklemmt. Bei Mißgeschick i. V. m. mehreren Versuchen droht Gefahr, daß die Zecke verletzt wird und Substanzen in die Bißstelle absondert, die zu gefährlichen Erkrankungen führen können.
