The BIOS is a set of programs solidified on a ROM chip on a mainboard in the computer, stores the most important basic input and output programs of the computer, a self-checking program after power-on and a system self-starting program, and can read and write specific information set by the system from the CMOS. One of the biggest features of BIOS is that it can be refreshed by some method, known as BIOS update. The BIOS updating can not only obtain new functions, but also solve some bugs on chip set and mainboard design, eliminate some special machine faults and the like. Generally, an external optical drive is adopted to install an OS, and before the OS is installed, a BIOS is refreshed, but in the related technology, a USB flash disk mode is adopted to refresh, an additional USB flash disk needs to be provided, and the refresh cost is increased.
