Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of tree measurement equipment, in particular to a tree outer diameter measurement device and method.
Background
The outer diameter of the tree is one of the most basic factors of forest investigation, and the traditional measuring tool is mainly a surrounding ruler. The limited range of the caliper is not suitable for tree measurement with larger outer diameter; the ruler surrounding tool is simple, but the two hands of a measurer need to contact the trunk, and the ruler surrounding tool is not suitable for measuring trees with larger outer diameters. For the outer diameter measurement of the trees in a standard land with a large number, the outer diameter measurement is usually completed by cooperation of a measurer and a recorder, and the statistics calculation is performed, so that the efficiency is low and the error is easy to occur. In recent years, some electronic products, such as total station measurement, laser scanners, electronic code bars and the like, are also produced, but the electronic products are difficult to widely apply due to the problems of complex operation, inconvenient field carrying, difficult measurement at dense woods, poor anti-interference performance, high equipment cost, low measurement efficiency and the like. Therefore, there is a need in the market for a tree outer diameter measuring device that has the advantages of low cost, high precision, simple operation, short time consumption, portability, and the like.

Specifically, one end of the first ruler 11 is hinged to one end of the second ruler 12. The first ruler 11 and the second ruler 12 are rotatable with respect to each other about a rotary joint 13.
The tree outer diameter measuring device is used for measuring, the scissors rule 10 is kept to be in a substantially horizontal direction, and the rope belt 20 is wound on the cross section surface of the tree to be measured; at this time, the controller 30 acquires the angle between the first straight edge 11 and the second straight edge 12 from the sensor, and calculates the outer diameter of the tree to be measured from the angle. Therefore, the tree outer diameter measuring device is easy and convenient to operate.
When the tree outer diameter measuring device does not need to measure, one end of the first ruler 11 and the second ruler 12 can be folded, and the tree outer diameter measuring device is convenient to carry.
In addition, the tree outer diameter measuring device has the characteristics of high measuring efficiency, high precision, simplicity and convenience in operation and the like.
Fig. 3 is a geometric schematic of the tree outer diameter measuring device shown in an exemplary embodiment at the time of measurement. It should be noted that, the trunk of the tree to be measured is regarded as a cylinder, and the section of the cylinder is approximately a circle; the rope belt is wound on the cross section surface of the tree to be measured, and the shape of the rope belt is approximate to an arc.
The outer diameter of the tree to be measured can be solved through the geometric relationship; the controller 30 can calculate the outer diameter d of the tree to be measured according to the above calculation formula.
Referring to fig. 4, the controller 30 includes a processor 31, a sensor 32, a GPS33, bluetooth 34, a display 35, keys 36, and a memory card 37; the power supply section includes: a battery, a power module and a switch;
keys 36 may be used for user input and microprocessor 31 for monitoring key operation. The key can be used for inputting operation instructions, such as data storage, data clearing and uploading of the data to an upper computer.
In some embodiments, the controller 30 has a bluetooth module 34 integrated therein for transmitting measurement data to an upper computer.
In some embodiments, a memory card 37 is also integrated into the controller 30 for storing measurement data.
In some embodiments, the controller 30 is mounted at the location of the rotary joint 13.

In some embodiments, a display 35 is provided on the controller 30 for displaying the measured outer diameter of the tree.
