A shock absorber (not shown) is attached between an appropriate portion of the intermediate portion of the swing arm 19 in the front-rear direction and the vehicle body frame 11 side, and the upper side of the rear wheel 20 is covered with a tailgate (not shown). A seat on which a rider sits is disposed on the seat rail 14 located above the rear wheel 20.
The engine 15 is a four-stroke single-cylinder (2 or more cylinders) engine, and may be a water-cooled or air-cooled engine. The basic structure of the engine 15 includes a crankcase 21 that rotatably supports a crankshaft horizontally disposed in the left-right direction, and a cylinder block 22 that is coupled to an upper portion of the crankcase 21, and the axis of the cylinder block 22 is set in a substantially vertical direction by tilting forward as appropriate. The engine 15 includes a cylinder head 23 coupled to an upper portion of the cylinder block 22, and a cylinder head cover 24 covering the cylinder head 23.
The periphery of the vehicle body frame 11 will be described with reference to fig. 3 and 4. Fig. 3 is a front view showing a vehicle body structure of the motorcycle 10, and fig. 4 is a right side view showing the vehicle body structure of the motorcycle 10. The vehicle body frame 11 of this embodiment may be, for example, a back bone (diamond frame) type, or a unicaster type or the like can also be selected. The main frame 13 extending obliquely rearward and downward from the steering head pipe 12 is bent downward at a substantially center in the front-rear direction of the vehicle, and a pair of side frames 25 extending leftward and rightward are joined to the vicinity of a lower end portion of the main frame 13 in a substantially gate shape. The plurality of engine mount brackets are provided in a protruding state on the main frame 13 and the side frames 25, and support the engine 15. Further, a lower frame 26 linearly extending rearward and obliquely downward from the steering head pipe 12 is provided, and the lower frame 26 supports the front portion of the crankcase 21 of the engine 15 via a bracket 27 for an engine mount.
A pair of left and right seat rails 14 are coupled to the vicinity of the rear portion of the main frame 13, and the seat rails 14 extend above the rear wheels 20. The main frame 13 is coupled to the pair of seat rails 14 in a Y shape in plan view. A pair of left and right stays 28 are coupled to the side frames 25 near the shoulders of the door, and these stays 28 are coupled to the seat rails 14 near the rear ends thereof. The vehicle body frame having a three-dimensional structure is configured by these frame members, and high support rigidity for the engine 15 is ensured.
In this case, a fuel tank 29 located above the engine 15 as shown in fig. 4 is mounted on the main frame 13. The fuel tank 29 is elastically supported by the main frame 13. Although not shown in the drawings, various body covers such as side covers and rear covers may be supported and covered by appropriate portions such as a body frame in the vehicle exterior of the motorcycle 10 having such a body structure. Further, headlights may be mounted above the front wheels 17, and traffic lights and the like may be mounted in front and rear of the vehicle.
In the intake system of the engine 15, as shown in fig. 1, the air cleaners 30 are disposed so as to be sandwiched between the right seat rail 14 and the pillars 28, respectively, and the air purified by the air cleaners 30 is supplied to the engine 15. A throttle body 32 is disposed in the middle of the intake passage 31, the intake passage 31 is formed between and connects the air cleaner 30 and an intake port (not shown) provided in the rear portion of the cylinder head 23, and an air-fuel mixture of a predetermined mixture ratio is supplied from the throttle body 32 to the intake port of the engine 15. That is, the combustion gas generated in the engine 15 passes through an exhaust pipe 33 connected to an exhaust port (not shown) of the engine 15 as an exhaust gas, and is finally discharged from a muffler 34 (muffler). Further, a cavity 35 is disposed between the exhaust pipe 33 and the muffler 34, and these are connected to each other.
On one side of the center line L, which is a line that divides the vehicle body width direction at the center in a plan view of the motorcycle 10 and passes through the lower frame 26 as shown in fig. 3, in the present embodiment, an ABS device 36 (Antilock Brake System) is disposed on the right side as shown in fig. 5. The ABS device 36 is attached to a right side surface portion of the lower frame 26 near a joint portion with the steering head pipe 12 via a bracket 37, and a front wheel brake hose (or pipe) 38 and a rear wheel brake hose (or pipe) 39 extend from the right side surface portion of the lower frame 26 near the joint portion with the steering head pipe 12. As shown in fig. 1, a single brake disc 40 is fixed to the axle of the front wheel 17 inside the right front fork 16, and a brake caliper 41 is fixed to the right front fork 16. As shown in fig. 5, 6, and the like, the front wheel brake hose 38 connected to the brake caliper 41 is fixedly attached to the lower frame 26 via a connector (or an adapter) 42 fixed to the front side of the lower frame 26 below the steering head pipe 12. The front wheel brake hose 38 is routed from the connector 42 to the caliper 41.
Further, a single brake disc 43 (see fig. 4 to 6) is fixed to the axle of the rear wheel 20 inside the right swing arm 19, and a brake caliper 44 is fixed to the right swing arm 19. As shown in fig. 5 and the like, the rear wheel brake hose 39 connected to the brake caliper 44 is fixed to, for example, an appropriate portion of the side frame 25 via a connector (or an adapter) 45 fixed to the vicinity of the inside of the side frame 25. The rear wheel brake hose 39 is routed from the connector 45 to the rear wheel brake caliper 44.
In this way, starting from the ABS device 36, the front and rear brake disks 40 and 43, the front and rear brake calipers 41 and 44, and the front and rear brake hoses 38 and 39 are arranged on one side of a center line L (fig. 3) passing through the lower frame 26. The muffler 34 is also disposed on one side of the center line L, i.e., on the right side as shown in fig. 1.
As shown in fig. 1, 6, and the like, an exhaust pipe inlet 33a of an exhaust pipe 33 connected to the engine 15 extends to the right side, which is the side of the center line L on which the ABS device 36 is disposed.
On the other hand, on the other side of the center line L, in the present embodiment, as shown in fig. 2 or は, fig. 3, the oil cooler 46 is disposed on the left side. In this case, the oil cooler 46 is attached to the lower frame 26 via a plurality of brackets 47 in front of the cylinder head 23 and the cylinder head cover 24 of the engine 15 so as to be inclined along the lower frame 26.
As shown in fig. 6, the ABS device 36, the oil cooler 46, and the lower frame 26 are arranged to substantially overlap when viewed from the side (see also fig. 5). In this case, as shown in fig. 3, the ABS device 36 projects rightward from a center line L passing through the lower frame 26, and the oil cooler 46 projects leftward from the center line L.
In the above case, as shown in fig. 2, the battery 48 is mounted substantially corresponding to the air cleaner 30, that is, the battery 48 is disposed between the left seat rail 14 and the pillar 28. That is, the air cleaner 30 and the battery 48 are disposed so as to at least partially overlap when viewed from the side. The air cleaner 30 and the battery 48 may be mounted in a left-right arrangement opposite to the above-described arrangement.
First, the assemblability of the vehicle body structure will be explained. In the vehicle body structure of the motorcycle 10 of the present invention, the vehicle body structure related to braking is disposed on one side in the vehicle body width direction in a concentrated manner, and on the right side in this embodiment. Therefore, when the brake-related vehicle body structure is assembled to the vehicle body, the operator can easily get close to the vehicle body, that is, the operator can perform the assembly operation without frequently moving between the left and right of the vehicle body, and therefore, the assemblability of the vehicle body structure is improved. In addition, since the parts requiring maintenance are concentrated on the vehicle side surface, the maintainability is excellent. For example, since the hoses and the like are not wired so as to cross the vehicle from the right to the left, the maintenance work can be performed without inserting a hand into the center of the vehicle.
Specifically, the ABS device 36, the front and rear brake disks 40 and 43, the front and rear brake calipers 41 and 44, and the front and rear brake hoses 38 and 39 are disposed on one side of the center line L. In this embodiment, the assembly work can be efficiently performed on the same side of the vehicle body by approaching the vehicle body from the right side of the motorcycle 10.
Then, with regard to the vehicle body weight balance, since the vehicle body structure related to braking is disposed on one side in the vehicle width direction in a concentrated manner, the directional stability of the vehicle is lost in this case. In the present invention, the ABS device 36, the oil cooler 46, and the lower frame 26 are arranged to overlap when viewed from the side, so that the directional stability can be maintained.
Specifically, the oil cooler 46 is disposed on the other side of the center line L, on the left side in the present embodiment. In this case, the ABS device 36 and the lower frame 26 are disposed so as to overlap with the oil cooler 46 as a heavy object when viewed from the side, whereby the left and right weight balance of the motorcycle 10 can be obtained.
The ABS device 36 is disposed apart from the engine 15 in front of the cylinder head 23, and is mounted so as not to overlap with the front end of the fuel tank 29 as shown in fig. 4. The ABS device 36, which is susceptible to heat, is less susceptible to heat from the engine 15, and functions normally all the time, thereby contributing to improvement in safety. In this case, the heat from the engine 15 is easily released upward without being accumulated around the ABS device 36. Further, the ABS device 36 is disposed in the vicinity of the front of the vehicle, so that the running wind during running of the motorcycle 10 can be easily received, and there are advantages such as excellent cooling performance for the ABS device 36.
Further, the air cleaner 30 and the battery 48 are disposed in a well-balanced manner in the left-right direction behind the engine 15, and a plurality of vehicle body structures can be compactly mounted.
The present invention has been described above with reference to various embodiments, but the present invention is not limited to these embodiments and can be modified as appropriate within the scope of the present invention.
The plurality of vehicle body structures in the above embodiment can be mounted in the right-left reverse arrangement relationship as a whole, and the same operational effects can be obtained.
