Abstract
L'invention concerne des compositions de scellement et d'écran acoustique expansibles et des procédés de formage et d'utilisation de ces compositions. Ces compositions comprennent une première résine thermoplastique, une résine époxyde, de préférence un seconde résine thermoplastique différente de la première résine thermoplastique et éventuellement un composé sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par les pigments, les agents d'expansion, les catalyseurs, les agents de polymérisation, les charges renforçantes et des mélanges de ces composés. On forme les compositions résultantes de manière a obtenir des éléments autonomes pouvant être expansés à chaud pour donner des produits légers haute résistance servant à sceller les éléments structurels creux des véhicules, et à atténuer sensiblement le bruit qui se propage le long de ces éléments tout en renforçant ces éléments avec une augmentation minimale de leur poids. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, la première résine thermoplastique est un copolymère séquencé SBS, la résine époxyde est une résine époxyde liquide à base de bisphénol A, la seconde résine thermoplastique est un polystyrène et la charge renforçante est de la silice amorphe hydratée. Ces compositions permettent de former des éléments autonomes, autoportants ou des éléments en U maintenus par des supports de Nylon de type treillis.
