Abstract
resumo de patente de invenção para: "processo para a produção de um material de aerogel". processo para a produção de um material de aerogel, compreende as seguintes etapas: a) preparação de uma solução coloidal de óxido de silício em uma mistura alcoólica de solventes; b) desencadeamento da gelificação da solução coloidal através da adição de base, resultando um gel e opcionalmente envelhecimento do gel; c) hidrofobação do gel opcionalmente envelhecido; d) remoção da mistura de solventes através de secagem subcrítica, formando-se o material de aerogel. a solução coloidal de óxido de silício formada na etapa a) contém pelo menos um agente de hidrofobação que pode ser ativado cataliticamente com ácido, sendo que a proporção volumétrica do agente de hidrofobação na solução coloidal perfaz de 5 a 60 %. a hidrofobação na etapa c) é iniciada através da libertação ou adição de pelo menos um catalisador de hidrofobação que interage com o agente de hidrofobação.
