Abstract

"DISPOSITIVO PROTETOR PARA UM VEìCULO MOTORIZADO". A invenção refere-se a um dispositivo protetor para um veículo motorizado compreendendo um airbag da qual pelo menos uma seção para proteger um ocupante no compartimento de passageiros pode ser inflada. A seção inflável do airbag é formada por duas dobras de material tecido que são juntadas uma à outra ao longo de uma borda periférica. O airbag destina-se a formar uma cortina junto a pelo menos uma vidraça de janela do veículo motorizado de modo que a dobra de material tecido fique voltada para a vidraça da janela e a outra dobra de material tecido fique voltada para o compartimento dos passageiros; ambas as dobras de material tecido são adicionalmente juntadas uma à outra fora da borda. O dispositivo inventivo protetor também compreende pelo menos um gerador de gás para inflar o airbag pela introdução de uma corrente de gás dentro da seção inflável. De acordo com a invenção, as pontas de junção (20, 20', 30) nas quais as dobras de material tecido são adicionalmente juntadas uma à outra são dispostas e configuradas de tal maneira que pelo menos uma porção da corrente de gás introduzido para inflar o airbag (1) possa ser guiada ao longo da borda periférica (16, 25, 15, 26; 16, 15; 16, 35, 15, 36).
