PAINT'TRAY -LINER The following statement is a full description of this invention, Including the best method of performing it known to me: 2 DIPOSABLE PAINT TRAY LINER This invention relates to improvements in devices for covering a paint tray so as not to having to clean the paint from said paint tray.

For many people having to clean a paint tray after using it, is a messy and time-consuming chore. There have been many proposals to line a paint tray, but these have all required the use of a flexible plastic bag or aluminium foil to cover the paint tray.

For example, one previous device proposes putting the paint tray inside a plastic bag and tying the end with a fastener and conforms to the tray when an amount of paint is placed onto the tray.

This proposal has the disadvantage that the liner moves around as the paint roller is rolled across its surface and creates uneven **amounts of paint placement on the roller and is also still messy to dispose off as the paint remains in the creases of the plastic bag as it is removed allowing for paint tray to still require cleaning.

These problems are overcome by the present invention, which S provides for a disposable paint tray liner made of a rigid plastic type material, impervious to paint, comprising two side walls, a front wall, a rear wall and a bottom wall wherein portions of said side walls, rear wall and bottom wall define a well. The front wall and portions of the side walls and bottom wall forming a ramp extending downwardly from the front wall in the direction of the said well, and a top edge flange extending from the top off side, front and rear wall edge to securely seat the disposable paint tray liner into a paint tray, without any further need of fastening.

To assist with understanding the invention, reference will now be made to the accompanying drawings which show one example of the invention.

Claims (4)

1. A disposable paint tray lining device comprising a rigid plastic type material impervious to paint comprising two side walls a front wall and rear wall and bottom wall wherein portions of said side walls and rear wall and bottom wall define a well and the front wall and portions of the side walls and bottom wall forming a ramp extending downwardly from the front wall in the direction of the said well and a top edge flange extending from the top of side front and rear wall edges to securely seat the disposable paint tray liner into a paint tray without any further need of fastening.

2. The disposable paint tray of claim 1 is a shallow receptacle S. having side walls and end walls and a bottom deck wide enough to accept a paint roller

The disposable paint tray liner of claim 1 in combination with a paint tray having a well defined by side and bottom 0walls a disposable protective liner made from a material 0 impervious to paint removably disposed in the tray to prevent paint in the well from directly contacting the walls 0. of the paint tray

The disposable paint tray liner of claim 1 generally being a disposable paint tray liner made from a rigid type material impervious to paint able to be inserted inside a paint tray to prevent paint from coming into contact with the paint tray and able to be removed without allowing any paint or liquid material to come into direct contact with the paint tray and having a generally rectangular surface extending over the four sides and bottom of the paint tray allowing it to sit securely inside the paint tray
