Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for separering av et flerfasefluid, hvor fluidet omfatter en komponent med forholdsvis høy tetthet og en komponent med forholdsvis lav tetthet, omfatter innføring av fluidet i en separasjonsregion; tildeling av en rotasjonsbevegelse til flerfasefluidet; dannelse av ytre ringformet region av roterende fluid av forhåndsbestemt tykkelse inne i separasjonsregionen; og dannelse og opprettholdelse av en kjerne av fluid i en indre region; hvor fluidet som kommer inn i separasjonsbeholderen ledes inn i den ytre ringformede region; og tykkelsen av den ytre ringformede region er slik at komponenten med høy tetthet konsentreres og i hovedsak befinner seg i denne region, idet komponenten med lav tetthet konsentreres i den roterende kjerne.Et separasjonssystem som anvender fremgangsmåten er også tilveiebrakt.
