Abstract

Covering is effected by providing the tyre with a binding agent, applying hot rubber material in a plastic state to the outer surface, passing the tyre along a shaping die, so that the tyre is shaped, and vulcanising the applied tread. Fabrication of a rubber strip is unnecssary, holes, tears and other damage are repaired, very low loss os rubber material is achieved and tyre needs only sligt polishing. The treat is placed in the correct position on the tyre.
