Description

Title: Device arranged for attaching a utility apparatus and a building comprising the device Description According to a first aspect, the present disclosure relates to a device arranged for attaching a utility apparatus, such as a heat pump or an air conditioning, to a slanted roof of a building. According to a second aspect, the present disclosure relates to a building comprising a slanted roof and the device according to the first aspect of the present disclosure. A known device for attaching a heat pump to a slanted roof is provided with a housing and an attachment arrangement. The housing of the known device comprises a receiving space arranged for receiving the heat pump and a housing opening arranged for providing access to the receiving space. The known device further comprises an attachment arrangement arranged for attaching the device to the slanted roof of the building. Although the known device functions well in daily use, it can be improved with regard to the versatility in relation to application in different buildings. An objective of the present disclosure is to provide a device that has a relative large versatility in to relation to application in different buildings.
The objective is realised by providing the device according to the first aspect of the present disclosure with a positioning arrangement arranged for positioning said utility apparatus in a range of positions relative to said housing such that, in use of said device, an orientation relative to a ground surface of said utility apparatus is independent of an angle of said slanted roof relative to said ground surface. The present disclosure at least partly relies on the insight that a utility apparatus such as a heat pump or an air conditioning is maintained in a substantial upright position, preferably in an upright position, during use of the utility apparatus. Use of a the known apparatus is generally limited to buildings provided with slanted roofs having a similar angle relative to the ground surface. This requires for a relative large variation of known devices to cater for different building designs. By providing the positioning arrangement the device according to the first aspect of the present disclosure may be applied in a relative versatile population of buildings. This is beneficial for realising a relative cost effective solution for realising a predetermined alignment of the utility apparatus relative to a horizontal virtual plane independent of the angle relative to the ground surface of the slanted roof.
Preferably, said positioning arrangement is arranged for positioning said utility apparatus in a range of predetermined positions relative to said housing. This is beneficial for applying the device for buildings having slanted roofs enclosing different angles with a ground surface. In this regard, it is beneficial if said rail is curved along a length of said rail for positioning said utility apparatus in said range of positions relative to said housing such that, in use of said device, said orientation relative to said ground surface of said utility apparatus is independent of said angle of said slanted roof relative to said ground surface.
Preferably, said positioning arrangement comprises a fastening element arranged for being fastened to said utility apparatus and further arranged for being fastened to said rail. Providing the fastening element is beneficial for allowing a relative reliable and practical fastening of the utility apparatus to the device.
Preferably, said attachment arrangement comprises a housing part forming a circumference of said housing opening and wherein said housing part is arranged for providing, in use, an interface between said housing and said slanted roof of said building.
In an embodiment of the device according to the first aspect, said housing is provided with a housing door arranged for providing access, in use of said device, to said receiving space, via an interior space of said building, in an open condition of said housing door and for blocking, in use of said device, access to said receiving space, via said interior space of said building, in a closed condition of said housing door.
Preferably, said housing comprises a thermal insulation material arranged for thermally insulating said utility apparatus from an interior of said building and/or comprises a sound insulation material arranged for sound insulating said utility apparatus from said interior of said building.
According to the second aspect the present disclosure relates to a building comprising a slanted roof, a utility apparatus and said device according to the first aspect of the present disclosure, wherein said slanted roof is provided with a roof opening and said device is attached, by said attachment arrangement, to said slanted roof such that said roof opening and said housing opening overlap for providing access, via said roof opening and said housing opening, to said receiving space, wherein said utility apparatus is provided in said receiving space such that an orientation of said utility apparatus relative to said ground surface is independent of said angle of said slanted roof relative to said ground surface.
Embodiments of the building correspond to embodiments of the device according to the first aspect of the present disclosure. The advantages of the building correspond to the advantages of the device according to the first aspect of the present disclosure presented previously.
Preferably, said device is attached, by said attachment arrangement, to said slanted roof such that said roof opening and said housing opening overlap for providing access, via said roof opening and said housing opening, to said receiving space from an exterior of said building.
In an advantageous embodiment of the building according to the second aspect, said slanted roof encloses an angle with a horizontal virtual plane in the range of 10 to 75 degrees.
It is beneficial, if said position of said range of positions is such that said utility apparatus is positioned in a substantial upright position. The present disclosure will now be explained by means of a 5 description of a preferred embodiment of a device and a building, in which reference is made to the following schematic figures, in which: Fig. 1: a device according to the present disclosure is shown; Fig. 2: in a side view the device from Fig. 1 is shown; Fig. 3: cross-section A-A from Fig. 2 is shown; Fig. 4: cross-section B-B from Fig. 3 is shown; Fig. 5 - 6: buildings according to the present disclosure are shown; Fig. 7 — 8: an element of the device according to the present disclosure is shown.
Device 1 is arranged for attaching a utility apparatus 103, such as a heat pump or an air conditioning, to a slanted roof 105 of a building 101. The device 1 comprises a housing 3 and an attachment arrangement 5. The housing 3 comprises a receiving space 7, a housing opening 9 and a housing door 11. The receiving space 7 is arranged for receiving the utility apparatus 103. The utility apparatus 103 may be provided in the receiving space 7 either via the housing opening 9 or the housing door
11. The housing 3 comprises an inner wall 13 and an outer wall 15 delimiting a wall volume that is substantially filled with a thermally and sound insulating material 31. The inner wall 13 and the outer wall 15 comprise a plastic and may be formed by blow moulding or rotation moulding. The inner wall 13 is provided with a recesses 17a, 17b, 17c arranged to receive the utility apparatus 103 and or a positioning arrangement 25 at least partly therein, thereby allowing provision of a relative small receiving space 7. The housing door 11 is hingedly connected, via hinges 23, to the remainder of the housing 3.
The recesses 17a and 17b are coupled for fluid flow, via a drain recess 17c, to a housing drain 45. The housing drain 45 is formed as through hole in the housing 3. By coupling the recesses 17a and 17b to housing drain 45, fluids,
originating from the utility apparatus 103, that may collect in the recesses 17a and 17b are drained via drain recess 17c and housing drain 45.
