Abstract
Un sistema integrado al vehículo (IVS por sus siglas en inglés) captura datos tales como datos de ubicación y, en caso de emergencia, realiza automáticamente una llamada a un centro de llamadas de emergencia o PSAP (por sus siglas en inglés) a través de una red de telecomunicaciones. Después de que se establece una sesión de llamada de voz, el sistema IVS transmite una señal de control predeterminada a través del canal de voz. La señal de control indica al sistema de tomador de llamada que se prepare para recibir datos. Preferiblemente, la señal de control comprende al menos un tono de frecuencia de audio. Esto puede hacerse sin intervención humana. De esta manera, información de emergencia se transmite con precisión y con mínima demora. Después de la transmisión de la información esencial, el sistema IVS puede conmutar a conexión de audio para conversación de voz humana en directo.
