Automotive Questions on Jeopardy
-
No one got it right. One contestant gave a close but wrong answer, the rest did not attempt.
-
@Krusty-Walnut What is the mouse button
-
@Krusty-Walnut Rapid clicking is obviously a sign of a burnt out turn signal right? Clearly the question is "What is low blinker fluid?"
-
@Krusty-Walnut I saw that too. A couple days ago was something along the lines of "this circulates the coolant making sure the engine doesn't over heat"
"what is the compressor?" No.
"What is the carburetor" No.
The third person didn't try.
-
@Krusty-Walnut They should have left out "cold cranking," or added "weak" ahead of it. That question is poorly constructed at best, I can see how it would confuse people with no experience. Or who have somehow never seen a battery commercial.
-
@FourMalibus Yep @Krusty-Walnut made a post for that too:
https://opposite-lock.com/topic/116050/automotive-questions-on-jeopardyEspecially bad in the sense that someone with zero automotive knowledge had a decent chance to get that one just based on context.
-
@facw Ah, must have missed that one.
-
@Krusty-Walnut I would say it’s the glow plugs heating up in a 300TD.
-
-
@Urambo-Tauro I love that song! So catchy!
-
@Krusty-Walnut Al started with a great song to work with.
-
Meanwhile someone with a BEV would be like "why does anyone need to start a car? Why wouldn't you just turn it on and go?"

Yes. It is very awkward. I have no idea what the cold cranking is supposed to add to it. If you got clicks while 'hot cranking' it could be the same issue.
