We didn’t experience a lot sparks and smoke because of wind but if we do, we will consider a glass plate for protection 🙌🏼. Here’s how we did it: 1. Dig a hole 90cm deep for the foundation. 2. Fill the hole with concrete and place the first layer of lightweight blocks (we used 15 x 19 x 49 cm leca blocks). Ensure they’re level and let them dry. 3. After the foundation dries, continue with the next layers. However, only do two at a time to ensure stability. Use regular mortar to bind the blocks. Alternate the pattern of the blocks in each row to add stability to the fireplace. 4.
