NLRC Presents Casino, Sports Betting Permits to Six Companies

In a marathon ceremony that spanned hours at the headquarters of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) in Abuja, licenses and permits were recently bestowed upon six companies across various categories.

Represented by their CEOs and legal advisors, these companies: Global Entertainment and Integrated Arena Limited; Digibay Limited; Yellow Dot Africa Nigeria Limited; International Gaming and Entertainment Limited; Rockswood Security Limited; and Bet Jara Investment Limited, were given their core lottery licenses and sports betting permits.

During the proceedings for the issuance, Mr. Lanre Gbajabiamila (OON), the NLRC Director General, extended his congratulations to the companies while also admonishing them to uphold the law and adhere strictly to the terms outlined in their permits and licenses. Stressing the paramount importance of compliance, he underscored the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to enforcing these regulations. Mr. Gbajabiamila delivered a stern warning, stating unequivocally,

“The Federal Government will not tolerate any violation of your Terms and Conditions.”
