Beautiful Rainbow Colors on the Black Base Background. #art #artist #rainbow | By MollysArtistry | Are you ready for something super fun? This is a swipe and scoop technique. I am taking a base layer of paint, swiping over it, and then I'm going to pour down layers of colors and I'm going to scoop them all together as if I were wrecking the painting and then when I stretch it out, the outcome is unbelievable. Black base paint tends to swallow the colors a little bit more than if I were using a white coat. That is something to keep in mind as you are doing your artwork as well. I'm layering down my colors and if you saw my other video called Colorful Chaos, this is the same technique and the same colors but it once you see this dry, you will see how different it really is. Changing up your base color can make all the difference in the world if you're trying to convey a certain feeling or a certain emotion in your painting. This painting ended up the lacing ended up looking like almost like electrified lightning going through it. So here I'm just swiping the colors on along. I chose to swipe one set of colours vertically. And the rest of them I swiped over one another. You can already see the beautiful lacing that's popping up in here. There is something so satisfying about watching the palette knife glide over the painting. Now I'm going to scoop. I was holding my breath the entire time. And it always looks like such a mess but then it stretches out and I always end up loving it. The colors on the black background I really enjoy. Almost reminds me of galaxy colors. The magenta, the turquoise green, the blue, the orange, they all just somehow work. You can see the colors wet and how the purple ends up looking just like lightning. And once it dried you have to be in close to see the details. But the purple is still there. And the lacing just took on each color that it was swiped over. We hope that you enjoy the video.
