You obviously pick up an Asami Miyabi manga when you're in the mood for some tastefully executed romance with a shot of smut along with characters who don't mope around too much but provide a novel enough situation to not be relegated to the hackneyed pile. Well this manga MORE than delivers.
So Ruho isn't having much luck in the love department until she comes in contact with the Therapy Club, dedicated to helping women solve their "problems" (interpretation of what "problem" is deliberately skipped out I think!) upon which after an involuntary erotic back massage, she accidentally learns her sexual trigger. And what a trigger
...
it is! Any time her breast is so much as touched, she goes "Maximal Aroused" which is a very amusing and well drawn state. She kind of behaves like an amazon on speed in this state and MUST seduce the perpetrator immediately when triggered! Unsurprisingly, this development manages to get her into a pickle of a situation often enough that the Club Prez takes it upon himself to help the deprived (in his words "frustrated"!) girl out. What follows is a hilarious and smut filled journey of Ruho rebuffing his as well as other male's advances, but helpless against her amazon-ish alter ego when she gets wild!
Artwork is like magic. The bishies are neither too sparkly, but just handsome enough to keep you hooked. The lead has a rougish enough personality to qualify as a resident player/bad boy who's had a somewhat screwed up past but still has goodness left somewhere in his heart. He's also ambitious and charmingly kind to Ruho, that's when he's not unhooking her bra of course! Ruho on the other hand is a strong lead who doesn't whine but takes action and doesn't allow herself to be pushed around, even if a half naked bishie is in the viscinity with a come hither look! Dialogues are tantalising as well as cleverly phrased when necessary and those little extra sound effects that characters emit from time to time include "Urya"(apparently a battle cry of sorts!) from alter ego Ruho as well as plenty other guffaw inducing noises.
There wasn't anything particularly unappealing about this manga. It was long and smutty enough for the dedicated romance reader, paletable for the feminist reader who doesn't appreciate the helpless ingenue in shoujos and beautiful enough for the art afficianados.
I definitely recommend this manga if you're in the mood for a quirky romance and humor read. It has plenty of both while being swoony enough for all female readers to appreciate it fully.
