What is the next arc adaptation from the series?
Is this correct?
Railgun - Jailbreaker Arc
Index - Freshmen Arc
Accelerator - Nectar Arc

Also, if Railgun was the last aired next one should be Index or Accelerator?

No more Accelerator, please. Make it NT or Astral Buddy

Or, the alternative is that they could adapt the Apocrypha Archives (of which there are currently 2 of them), which have a decent amount of all the current side stories. Can't remember which ones the first ones had, but I do know the 2nd book has Railgun side stories like Liberal Arts City and Shopping Mall Demonstration.

also has cold game! It would be great to do a railgun ss season or a movie or two.

I'd love Astral buddy as well.

And I didnt read accelerator but I hope they adapt the other arc in it just so its a complete adaptation

Railgun manga editor said in a recent interview that Liberal Arts City was one of the possibilities for Railgun T. But later they went with Daihaseisai Arc and Dream Ranker Arc. So there's high chance we might get a Liberal Arts City movie sooner or later. And about Cold Game, it's a really short novel, so there's no chance of a movie. We might get an OVA or something but it is also highly unlikely.

Astral buddy has ended and that makes it unlikely to get an anime adaptation at this point because it's already ended. amines adaptations are basically used as adverts in japan sadly. not enough material for a season 4 of railgun. just enough materiel for season 2 of accelerator, but like astral buddy it just ended. while NT has enough materials to last it for 4 seasons, but will probably get rushed to hell like the last season sigh.

to beak it down for index NT ideally if JC staff and the production committee don't decided to screw up.

for those not aware NT is more like a combination of the main series and it's spin offs as stuff from railgun also come into play so even if you are not a index fan i would strongly recommend watching NT

i'm pretty sure from what i remember of volume 1. 3 episodes is fine.

3 episodes for volume 2 as it's basically a recap volume.

volume 3 would be 4 episode minimum i would guess

5 episodes for baggage city making it the mid season finale.

the remaining 10 episodes would be volume 5 and volume 6 which are a combined arc.

that would end season 1 of NT

NT season 2 would be as follows

Volume 7 would be 5 episodes

NT Volume 8, NT Volume 9 and NT Volume 10 would combine into a single arc at 15 episodes.

volume 11 would make up the remaining 5 episodes

that would concluded Season 2 with a stinger for the next arc at the end.

NT season 3

Volume 12 4 episodes

volume 13 4 episodes

volume 14 4 episodes

volume 15 4 episodes

volume 16 4 episodes.

volume 17 5 episodes

broken down this way because besides volume 12 and most of 13 it's basically one giant over all arc.

this would concluded season 3

season 4 would be the finale season for NT

with 5 episodes for volume 18

5 episodes for volume 19

and 15 episodes for volumes 20-22

concluding the final TV season

then 22R would be a movie.

True that cold game is short but if they adapt all the railgun content in that compilation. Liberal arts city, shopping mall demonstration and cold game might be enough for a 13 episode season. They could include Astral buddy as well since its railgun's own spinoff and that could extend it to a nice 24-26 episode season

Lol, that's being too optimistic. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see anime adaptations of these as well. But I also agree with the post above yours saying it is unlikely for Astral Buddy to get an adaptation. It's not only because it has ended and anime is only used to promote source material but also because of the ambiguity regarding the order you are supposed to experience the series. Fans are split about the order of NT11, Astral Buddy and Biohacker SS. But we don't know what the folks over JC Staff and Kamachi think about it. If they think NT11 should come before Astral Buddy, you can kiss goodbye to Astral Buddy, unless we get NT adaptation in near future of course.
That's why I said, Railgun SS novels are the most likely to get an adaptation. There are three volumes as of now, perfect for a season.

Hehe I want to be optimistic. I think considering how much JC staff loves railgun astral buddy has plenty of hope. In regards to it promoting the source, its still a part of the toaru universe. And even if we have to wait for nt11, I think that would boost interest in Astral buddy as well. I want to be optimistic lol. Let me dream.

I'd say ss3 isn't likely because its probably still an exclusive for the blu-ray of index 3, but I could be wrong. I just thought that was part of why we didn't see liberal arts in railgun s and got silent party instead.

May your dream come true. You have my blessings xD. Don't know what happened behind the scenes during Railgun S, but during Railgun T they rejected Liberal Arts City after counting the episodes needed for Daihaseisai and Dream Ranker. And they said Liberal Arts City was one of the possibilities that means there might be more arcs they wanted to adapt. Iirc there's a Toaru event on 18th October, don't exactly know what it is about, but we might get an announcement of some sort, well at least I hope we do get something lol.

It's good to know they considered liberal arts city. It at least means there's an option there. I'll look forward to the event and hope for an announcement. This season of railgun got me super into the franchise. Ive been reading all the novels and manga because I couldn't wait for more lol.

I'm really eager to get to the index season 3 content since that was such a train wreck in the anime.

NT?
Is it a new series in the Index franchise?
I'm not a manga reader btw so idk.
"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.

NT isn't a manga it's the novel. the manga is behind season 3, but is actaully doing a MUCH MUCH better job at adapting it.

NT ended a while ago in the novels we are on GT now.

NT is the part 2 of index franchise basicly take the plot threads form this season of railgun the dragons misaka's aritfical angel state, the kiharas and there roles in the dark side, the androids, and the plot threads form the end of index season 3 ollarius and othinus, alister crowley laura stuart.

and you have what makes up NT

I'm sorry to ask this but...
What does NT stand for? Is it an acronym?

Toaru Majutsu no Index LN has three series or you can say seasons, as of now. The first one is Index OT (Old Testament), this is what the three seasons of anime have adapted. Its sequel is Index NT (New Testament). And NT's sequel is the ongoing series, Index GT (Genesis Testament).
