Ein is adorable

Faye had no business eating dog food??

And I wasn’t expecting the kid to be a whole ass adult.

Bad episode overall with a confusing plot. Everybody except Ein was very unlikeable, including Jet, which is surprising, considering that he is the most likable member of the Bebop. And the "action" was just boring. Not a good way to go after the previous episode.

and faye really underestimated spike

yeah, that was annoying, also exactly like when she stole Ein's food.

Remembered this was the episode with the creepy kid (that isn't even an actual kid, can understand why some people didn't enjoy this plot), but forgot how it all pulled off. Oh, well, it was a creepy ending in tone with the show and the opening song was one of the most unforgettable at least for me since the mid 2000's.

Not my favourite ep so far but the final confrontation was really something.

Bang.

Also, I like Faye but I hope she gets her just desserts for bullying Ein.

Ehh MC really needs to learn that going out without a plan, just like that, is not wise but ok, he has a script in his hand and he knows that bullets won't hit him and he will be able to look cool standing unmoved when someone shoots at him xD... nevertheless quite an interesting episode, the first scene, were there any experiments conducted on MC or did he just look through the eyes of that evil "kid" on whom these experiments were conducted? or something like that. We got a quite interesting plot twist and it was nice to follow this episode, although I don't know what it brought, just "oh the kid is immortal" and that's it, it's not explored in depth or anything "oh eternal life is a curse" I think this episode didn't even present it well. I think this anime lacks some longer plots that would give time to really get involved in some story.

This episode? **Pure cinema.**

From the start, it feels like a typical bounty hunt—an old guy chasing a kid, a mysterious past, some jazz in the background. But then it flips the script. **The kid isn’t a victim—he’s the monster.** And Spike? He pieces it together like it’s just another day.

The noir vibes are **immaculate.** The dim lights, the slow tension, the unspoken weight in every word. The action? **Clean, precise, no wasted moves.** The way Spike fights isn’t just skill—it’s **instinct, discipline, and experience** all blending together. The moment he realizes the truth about Wen, there’s no hesitation. One shot, straight through.

And that final moment? **Cold. Existential.** Wen finally dies after **centuries of being stuck in time**, and all he says is *“So this is what it feels like to die”*. Meanwhile, Spike just lights a cigarette and walks away. **No celebration, no emotion, just another job done.**

This episode wasn’t about a bounty. It was about **Spike’s philosophy**—that time always moves forward, and nothing lasts forever. A direct contrast to a kid who couldn’t age, who was trapped in an endless cycle of survival. The same way Spike is trapped in his past.

**Style, action, meaning—all packed into one.** This is what makes *Bebop* different.

@Shinji_ikari07

Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex is still a better anime though. And you didn't write anything for episode 5 which is imo the best episode in the series.
