Mixed Media Resin Art, Ocean Themed "Oceans Blue" with Embellishments. 36" x 36"

This is a unique Ocean Themed Resin Art piece with sea shells and starfish added. Shells are from my personal shell collection snorkeling in Hawaii, Hilton Head, Southport NC, South Africa and Destin, FL. Many layers of decoupage media have been overlayed on the base fabric, with the resin layers being added after 4 weeks of curing. Four layers of resin are added, with the 2 final layers incorporating Shells, Starfish and Glass Shards. Art piece is 36"x36" on Birch plywood with 1.5 inch sides. (The Birch wood lends itself to a sturdy backing, supporting the weight of the resin and embellishments. Many weeks of curing is done before the final layers of resin are added, making this a truly unique piece of mixed-media art). The underside shows off a unique laser-etched label, made of African Rosewood. This is a one-of-a kind masterpiece. Made by Artist and Quilter Michele Vangraan (winner of the National Designer's Award, Moda Fabrics, 2015 "Because of the Brave" challenge - patriotic theme).
