In the village of Gualdicciolo, in the microstate of San Marino, a far-sighted client opted to bring archiNOW! in on a project to revamp a dilapidated old building and turn it into a key part of the area, dynamically interacting with the context. The zone is a mix of factories, businesses and homes, but sorely needed public spaces where people could gather and enjoy a sense of community. “Tetra Food Hall” is a three-level commercial building with the area of 600 m². It’s located on Kianabad Street in Ahvaz with different functions such as café, restaurant and pastry bakery. The building was previously covered with a flat stone façade without any architectural values neighboring mostly tall brick buildings. Thus, the client proposed a design matching not only the surrounding buildings but also being unique in context.

Designed by PTArchitects, As a demonstration area of “Gemdale·Metropolis Light”, the project is located in the northwest corner of the plot. In the earlier stage, it will serve as the sales exhibition center for the whole community and later turned into an integrated commercial square, becoming the community’s neighborhood center of daily life.
