National Stone | Custom Countertops on Instagram: "❌DO NOT Paint Your Home These Colors – You’ll Regret It! • Choosing the wrong paint colors can completely throw off your home design and make your space feel dull, outdated, or just “off.” I’m not partial to any specific brand—I actually love Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, and many others—but these are some of the most commonly used paint colors that homeowners end up regretting. • 💡 1. Agreeable Gray (SW 7029) – Overused & Can Look Flat 🚫 Why It’s a Problem: This was the go-to paint color for years, but now it can feel overdone and lifeless, especially in spaces with poor natural light. ✅ Better Choice: Warm greige paint colors like Pale Oak (BM) or Revere Pewter (BM). • ✨ 2. Pure White (SW 7005) – Feels Cold & Sterile 🚫 Why It’s a
Morgan @brickhomehaven on Instagram: "I probably have 20 people a day ask me what color I painted our dining room and where they can get it. I think it's because beige is such a tricky paint color to get right - it can pull brown, yellow, gray, or even green! 🙃 I personally tried 8 different options through either sample jars or peel and stick swatches. We looked at Accessible Beige, Tony Taupe, Shitake, Natural Tan, River's Edge, Warm Beige, and a few others. Moral of the story - you never know how a paint color will look in your space until you try it and observe it throughout the day with your unique lighting. ☀️💡 Secondary lesson I learned - don't just look at swatches, research the undertones and discover what you like and don't like. For me, yellow is a no go, and a lotttt of b
Sammy Sylvester on Instagram: "I sampled SO many whites when we first moved in, I originally thought I wanted “Swiss Coffee” which is so pretty, but in low light it pulled too much yellow for me (hallways, bedroom ect.) This one was the perfect in between! It’s called “Willa” by @homehardware BeautiTone line"
Crystal Jarvi | {Virtual} Home Design + Decor on Instagram: "My tried & true formula for painting cabinets First, SAVE this reel for your future project! I’ve been asked to make a tutorial for painting my cabinets, so here’s my formula: 👉🏻Lightly sand then clean with @krudkutterofficial 👉🏻2 coats of @zinsser bulleye primer (brush on, roll smooth method) then sand once dried 👉🏻2 coats of @sherwinwilliams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel paint mixed to your color choice (brush on, roll smooth) I’ve used this method on my kitchen cabinets, island, bathroom vanities and dressers. The trim enamel is a little more expensive but it’s very durable and easily wipeable. #homedesign #paintcolors #swaccessiblebeige #interiordesigner #homestyling #cabinetpainting #sherwinwilliams #bathroom
Molly Miller | DIY Home Improvement on Instagram: "How to repair damaged baseboards✨ Drop the word “supplies” in the comments and I’ll send you the links to everything I used 📩 Overall this one is pretty easy, definitely doable 👏 P.S. If the initial damage was caused by a pet chewing on the baseboard and theres a chance of it happening again post-repair…. it’s probably best to forgo patching and replace the wood all together. Definitely not worth the risk of your pet ingesting the patching materials ❤️ With that said, let me know in the comments what you want to see next👇 and save this video for reference ❤️ . . #diyprojects # diytutorial #diyreels #diyhowto #ladieswhodiy"

Mae Lutz on Instagram: "Let’s talk color drenching and what to do with your doors! You don’t want to see the other color when the door is shut and you want the edge of the door to match the room it’s facing when the door is open! Remember it’s just paint. Go have fun and color drench your heart out!"
Hannah Joyce | Home Design & DIY on Instagram: "Got orange wood and want to change it?? I tried this mixture on an orange wood tone lamp and it transformed into a beautiful rustic white oak look. And the best part is, I didn’t have to sand or strip the sealer off! - 2 coats paint wash - 1 coat gel stain - 1 coat polyurethane (optional) Unlike stain, paint will adhere to a sealed surface. Watering it down allows the wood grain to remain visible rather than covering it. And then the gel stain applied on top allows you to alter the color to get that wood tone. What if you could turn leftover wall paint—even $2.00 oops paint—into durable, furniture-ready paint without needing a top coat? I’ve got a secret recipe that saves you time and makes your paint tough enough to handle *anything.* We all have that old can of latex paint sitting in the garage from our last DIY. Instead of letting it collect dust, why not give it a new life as durable furniture paint? 💪 Wall paint alone doesn’t have the durability to handle everyday furniture wear without extra protection. This secret recipe changes that. You can turn regular wall paint into super durable, scratch-

Michelle McRae | “Shelly” Your DIY BFF on Instagram: "Topcoat trick details👇🏽 There is nothing worse than putting your blood, sweat and tears into painting your cabinets or furniture only to seal it and have it look streaky or strokey (yes, I made up that word). When sealing a darker colored piece, I always add roughly 10% water and 5% paint to the topcoat. Scuff sand with a high grit between coats and your finish will be darned near flawless. Comment “TOPCOAT” for steps and supplies‼️ (earns commissions)"
