It would make more sense if init_MibName was initializing more than one table.
And I've always thought it should be more like:
void init_MibName(void)
{
if(should_init(tableName))
initialize_table_tableName();
}
to allow runtime disabling of individual tables. The new MFD helper generates
code like this.
