Unit constraint
edit(Ping @Jura1:, who added the original unitless constraint, and @Pasleim: who modified it to use percent (Q11229), and @Ladsgroup:, who just added many statements using percent (Q11229) following the current constraint. See also this thread.)
I disagree with using percent (Q11229) as a unit for this property. It's not really a unit in the normal sense, it just divides the value by 100. A value of 5% should just be expressed as 0.05, without a unit. --Yair rand (talk) 16:08, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- This was created before units were available for quantities. When units became available, I added the unitless constraint. Whatever solution you guys come up with, please make sure to keep the "Allowed values" field in sync with the remainder.

- percent (Q11229) is an unit for a ratio. In en:Unemployment#Measurement it is written that "The unemployment rate is expressed as a percentage" and the World Bank, which is the source Ladsgroup used, also states all unemployment rates in %. --Pasleim (talk) 20:04, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

editPlease see Wikidata:Bot_requests/Archive/2018/11#Add_annual_country_level_unemployment_rate_(P1198).
In the meantime, maybe we could add this to "economics of" items instead of country items. See a list of them at Wikidata:WikiProject_Economics/lists/economics_by_country.
