Dune Part 2 is sci fi spectacle that feels perfectly grounded. It takes a deep dive into war, choices, bonds and struggle for power. It starts out fairly hopeful but takes a sharp dark turn into the reality of the situation. Its not your typical fun and easy watch movie aside from some fitting humor and heart in the beginning but it's all the better for it. The storyline is rising from the bottom to the top in a very organic and original way but doesn't shy away from a few good twists and turns. The performances in this movie were fantastic. Austin Butler is a psychotic creature. His character is scary and amazing to watch. Timothy Chalamets character develops very well especially with relationships and prowess. He eases into a very commanding and powerful performance. Hans Zimmer sets the tone perfectly once again, the visuals captivate, and the action is on another level of exceptional. Highly Recommend.
Oppenheimer was one of the most disturbingly deep and real movies I have ever seen. It took a dive into imagination and growth, social and political turmoil, the unstoppable human struggle for achievement, ethics of power, and the terrible reality of fear and aspiration. I expected a film focused on the bomb itself with Oppenheimer's life as a small support. I'm glad I was wrong. This movie showed the full story. The good, the bad, and the ugly truth of life of Oppenheimer and everyone around him. Everything makes sense now. After decades important things lose their significance and seem to be mundane but I'm genuinely amazed and afraid of what humanity can do now.
The camera following and position drives me insane. It follows very closely to player 1 leaving you in awkward viwing spaces while fighting, moving around in tight spots, and moving in general. While shooting you have to be aiming. It's always an over the shoulder camera where you take up 60 percent of the screen leaving you vulnerable to attack and with no visibility around yourself. You cannot adjust this or shut it off. No free shooting around like in previous games.
The levels are ridiculously underwhelming. They are short, lack engaging puzzles and objectives, and the fighting of villains and side characters during them is not satisfying whatsoever. Everything is all over the place and messy.
The open world and overall look is amazing. Plenty of puzzles, objectives, and things to discover but it takes away from the story which should be the best part but is the worst.
