Jeremy Allen White went to cooking school for two weeks and worked in the kitchen of multiple restaurants, among them the Michelin star-rated Pasjoli, to train for the show.

Goofs
The portrayal of Claire's schedule -- she's a resident in emergency medicine -- is completely unrealistic. Residents work 60-80 hours a week, and when they're not working they're exhausted. They're not helping people move, they're not eating three-hour meals on a Saturday night, and they're not lounging lazily around the house for hours in the mornings.

If you can't take the heat

Get out of the kitchen. This show is so spot on about how real kitchens function. Having worked in several high end and lower end restaurants. I can tell you this is the real deal. For all those low star reviewers, you just don't get it. This is not a glitzy Hollywood romanticized fantasy. Great acting, accurate terminology and technique. Absolutely love it! Hope there will be more.
