This post contains major spoilers for "Captain America: Brave New World."
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been going strong for nearly 17 years now, dating back to 2008's "Iron Man." With the release of "Captain America: Brave New World" in theaters, we're coming up on 40 movies released in that span, not to mention all of the TV shows on Disney+. While Kevin Feige and co. at Marvel Studios have done an impressive job weaving an interconnected narrative through all of that media over the years, some threads have been left dangling. "Brave New World" attempts to reckon with some pretty big ones.
2021's "Eternals" was a big swing for Marvel, one that ultimately didn't connect with audiences in the way the studio had hoped. Be that as it may, "Eternals" ended with a giant alien Celestial named Tiamut half-emerged in the ocean. That has needed addressing for some time. Though an...

The next installment of the MCU is finally upon us, which has garnered much anticipation over the last few months. Fans are not only excited to see Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) lead his first new movie as Captain America after Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) passed the mantle, but to finally receive a follow-up to some interesting threads introduced way back in 2008 within The Incredible Hulk. Boasting a great cast with characters old and new, and the trailer hinting at offering something a little more akin to fan-favourite The Winter Soldier, Brave New World is still managing to entice cinema-goers despite the mixed reviews. After meeting with the newly elected U.S President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red. With a strong storyline that takes things back to basics,...

Captain America: Brave New World is light on cameos but there is a deep-cut nod to the comic books that brings one of the lamest, weirdest Avengers into the MCU.
In the movie, Sam Wilson turns to Commander Dennis Dunphy, an old friend and member of the United States Armed Forces, for help figuring out what's in the pills Samuel Sterns has been giving President Ross.
It's widely believed that Amadeus Cho was once going to provide those answers, but Dunphy turns to an unnamed associate for the answers Sam needs. However, before he can warn Cap, The Leader murders him.
Does that name, Dennis Dunphy, ring any bells? It should! In the comics, Dunphy is better known as Demolition Man or D-Man, a character who first suited up in 1987's Captain America #328 after being created by Mike Carlin and Ron Wilson a couple of years earlier.

Captain America: Brave New World has struggled to continue the McU's upward trajectory after a successful 2024 for Marvel Studios (courtesy of Deadpool & Wolverine and Agatha All Along).
Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps should help the studio bounce back - Daredevil: Born Again is right around the corner too - and most fans seem eager to see more of Anthony Mackie's Captain America. What of Harrison Ford's Red Hulk, though?
The movie leaves the door open to the rageful United States President making his return and we now have an update from scooper @MyTimeToShineH.
According to the insider, Ford has already signed up to reprise his role as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross/Red Hulk in an upcoming MCU project. There's no word on which one, though we have to believe Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are surely the most likely next destinations for the character.

The previous Captain America feature, Civil War, released about 9 years ago. That was the last narrative where Thunderbolt Ross had a substantial role in a Marvel Cinematic Universe plot, and his Sokovia Accords are mentioned in Brave New World’s dialogue. Ross locking up Sam, Ant-Man, and Hawkeye is also discussed in the film, as well as the politician designating Captain America, Falcon, and Black Widow as fugitives – we see they are Secret Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War.
The place that superbeings are imprisoned in is called The Raft, sitting in the middle of the ocean. By the end of Brave New World, the tables turn and Ross/Red Hulk is now a prisoner at the Raft, along with the true agitator in the storyline, Samuel Sterns, a.k.a. The Leader.

The review embargo for Captain America: Brave New World lifted earlier this week and, as of now, the latest Marvel Studios movie sits at 50% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 234 reviews.
It's only the McU's third "Rotten" movie and, if it's any consolation to the team who worked on it, still a few percentage points ahead of Eternals (47%) and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania (46%).
Moviegoers and fans have started chiming in and Captain America: Brave New World's CinemaScore has been revealed. Remember, CinemaScore is a market research firm that surveys audience reactions to newly released movies.
After attending opening night screenings, moviegoers rate films on an A+ to F scale, providing insights into audience satisfaction. Widely used in the film industry, CinemaScore helps gauge the initial reception of movies and influences box office predictions based on audience feedback.
Captain America: Brave New World has been awarded a B-, the lowest-ever score for an MCU title.

Captain America: Brave New World is not only the fourth installment in Cap's big screen saga, but it also has the peculiar task of following up on a few loose ends from the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe.
As a result, Sam's first stand-alone adventure acts as a bit of an indirect sequel to The Incredible Hulk while simultaneously following up on the story set up in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. With multiple connections to other projects, the movie has a few interesting easter eggs, references, and cameos for audiences to enjoy. So don't worry if you missed any, because we're about to break them all down!

Anthony Mackie once had a very different career in mind before stepping into the Marvel spotlight. Long before Captain America 4 positioned him as one of the smartest Avengers alive, he had his sights set on something completely unrelated to superhero stardom.

Mackie wasn’t dreaming of vibranium shields or high-flying action; he had a more down-to-earth plan in mind. But Hollywood had other ideas.

Captain America: Brave New World revisits the events of The Incredible Hulk and, over a decade and a half after that movie was released, we finally catch up with Tim Blake Nelson's Samuel Sterns, a.k.a. The Leader.
Last month, promo art for the movie revealed a full look at his costume and character design. Wearing a trenchcoat and rocking a massive comic-accurate head - with hair and a goatee - the villain looks like the evil mastermind most fans expected and hoped to see.
However, if you've watched Captain America: Brave New World, then you'll know that the artwork is nothing like what ended up in the final cut.
In that, The Leader is horribly deformed after years of Gamma exposure; his head has taken on a brain-like shape and he looks almost zombified. Honestly, it's hard to describe but a closer look has leaked online which you can see here.

Captain America: Brave New World is now playing in theaters and one of the most interesting things about the movie is that it serves as a follow-up to both Eternals and The Incredible Hulk.
We'll start with the latter; during the movie's opening, it's revealed that President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross used Samuel Sterns as a scapegoat for Abomination's attack on Harlem. He's spent the past 17 years behind bars, being used by Ross to create both the pills that have saved the General's life and to create various weapons for the military.
Sterns' heightened intelligence - which has been increased with continued Gamma exposure - also plays a significant role in Ross getting into the White House, though he goes back on his deal to free the scientist when he's made Commander in Chief.
It's later revealed that Betty Ross has never forgiven her father for sending the military after Bruce Banner,...

Hulk smash ... spoilers, that is. Be warned: this article discusses major plot details from "Captain America: Brave New World."
The first movie starring a Black Captain America has finally released in theaters and all I got was this lousy "The Incredible Hulk" sequel? There's much to be said for how director Julius Onah's star-spangled blockbuster might have been doomed long before ever hitting the big screen, from interruptions related to the dual writer and actor strikes to unpredictable current events casting certain plot points in an unsettling light. My own review of "Captain America: Brave New World" for /Film mostly wrestled with the messy aftermath of it all, but it's finally time to dive deep into one specific creative decision. Between the reliance on Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) as the main antagonist, the secret identity of the mysterious "buyer" responsible for the chaos in the shadows, and predicating the...

Captain America: Brave New World not only serves as a follow-up to Avengers: Endgame and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier but also addresses unresolved plot beats from Eternals and The Incredible Hulk.
It's a unique use of the movie that, for the most part, serves it well. However, this is Marvel Studios and the MCU is a franchise that always has one eye on the future.
With that in mind, you're probably wondering whether Captain America: Brave New World does anything specifically to set the stage for Avengers: Doomsday and the long-rumoured World War Hulk movie.
The answer is yes and no.
A falling out with President Ross puts a swift end to the Commander in Chief's hope Sam Wilson will assemble a team who will report to him. However, Cap later realises that the world does need The Avengers and his first recruit is Joaquin Torres, a.k.

While Captain America: Brave New World is getting savaged by critics, it still holds an important space for the future of the MCU. Plus, it allows another old MCU performer to return to the fold.

Spoilers for "Captain America: Brave New World" follow.
I'm not the first critic to say "Captain America: Brave New World" feels more like a Hulk-less Hulk movie. Well, actually, not quite Hulk-less because this picture has got a Red Hulk. That's right, thanks to the diabolical Leader (Tim Blake Nelson in a too-overdue reprisal from "The Incredible Hulk"), President Thaddeus Ross becomes the Red Hulk. Formerly played by the late William Hurt, Ross now wears the face of Harrison Ford, joining the Marvel universe to ride the superhero movie wave.
Indeed, the marketing for "Brave New World" has progressively leaned less on the draw of Ford himself and more on the sight of his Hulked-out self fighting Captain America (Anthony Mackie).
Marvel Studios
But should Marvel fans be geeking out about this? More power to you if you are, but I've been dreading this film in part because of the Red Hulk.

“Captain America: Brave New World” should be an exciting film in the MCU canon for a lot of reasons but one of the biggest is that it serves as a spiritual sequel to one of the first films in the series.
The latest entry ties many threads back to 2008’s “The Incredible Hulk” – the second entry in the entire MCU and one of its biggest black sheep. The only standalone canon Hulk film has been largely maligned for years with it’s lead actor recast from Edward Norton to Mark Ruffalo in later appearances. “Captain America: Brave New World” looks to remedy that and bring a number of benched characters from the 2008 flick back into the limelight.
With such a disconnected feeling, it’s likely many fans skipped over “The Incredible Hulk” on rewatches so if that’s the case here is what you should remember before tuning into the latest Captain America movie.

And what’s a wonderful movie vacation spot for this big four-day weekend? Well, if you and the little tykes aren’t “heading South” to join that lil’ bear and the Browns in Peru, then you may want to book a return trip to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) at the multiplex. It has been a while, more than six months since that monumental match-up of Deadpool & Wolverine, which was the only MCU flick of 2024 (we don’t count the Sony Spidey spin-offs). Being a longtime “Marvel buff” (still wear my M.M.M.S. button to the new flicks), folks ask me about my favorite of the “franchises”. Not counting the big “team’ series, the Avengers, I’d say it’s been the exploits of the “star-spangled man with a plan”, and not because he’s my favorite comics hero. The trio of Steve Rogers epics maintains a high level of quality,...

“Sometimes, a change is as good as a rest”, they say. And in the world of superheroes, sometimes, the right kind of change is exactly what fans didn’t know they were missing. For example, we have Captain America: Brave New World—the movie that brings a little justice to Edward Norton’s portrayal of the Hulk, who’s been unjustly sidelined in the MCU for years.
While Mark Ruffalo has been the face of Bruce Banner in the Avengers flicks, there’s always been a lingering sense that the raw, chaotic, furious Hulk of The Incredible Hulk (2008) never quite got his due.

Following the events of the six-episode mini-series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021), the character of Captain America – once a stalwart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) – has been largely absent from the canon as the MCU attempts to ramp up its next phase. Now, with Captain America: Brave New World, the titular hero returns, ostensibly to infuse the MCU with some much needed gravitas. Unfortunately, while the film offers some moments that harken back to the best moments of the MCU, there remains an undercurrent that suggests the current course of the property is largely directionless and meandering at best.
In this installment, Anthony Mackie reprises his role as Sam Wilson, the former Falcon who has now officially assume the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rogers. After fully taking on the mantle of Captain America, Sam Wilson continues to develop his skills with the iconic shield and a suit with some fancy new features. But he still second-guesses himself and his ability to face any threats the universe throws at the Earth.
Sam must set those doubts and fears aside when President Thaddeus Ross, the infamous Hulk-hunter and newly elected President of the United States, asks him to retrieve some stolen materials taken from “Celestial Island” (as seen in The Eternals).
The mercenary group “The Serpent Society” has stolen a mysterious metal from a Japanese research team on the island and the theft threatens to end an international treaty being brokered by President Ross.
Captain America and his new sidekick Joaquin Torres, aka The Falcon, are successful in recovering the stolen alien material, but it pulls them into a battle being fought behind the scenes.

Captain America: Brave New World's reshoots resulted in sweeping changes to the Marvel Studios movie, including a new opening which swapped the Serpent Society for Giancarlo Esposito's Sidewinder.
We've known for a while that additional photography meant Seth Rollins' Serpent Society member, for example, would no longer receive any screentime. However, it was widely reported that Rosa Salazar was still set to make an appearance as Rachel Leighton/Diamondback.
According to multiple sources, Salazar no longer appears in Captain America: Brave New World. The actor is best known for her role in Alita: Battle Angel and the Maze Runner movies. It seems, like Rollins, her MCU debut will have to wait.

Filmmaker Osgood Perkins burst into the mainstream with last year’s critical and audience favorite Longlegs, and fans didn’t have to wait long to see what the filmmaker had up his sleeve next. Pairing Perkins with producer James Wan (The Conjuring) and a story by iconic horror author Stephen King, The Monkey is likely not what audiences are expecting from the Longlegs director, but it’s all the better for it.
The Monkey Review
Adapted from a short story in King’s Skeleton Crew collection, The Monkey is set in a small town shaken by a string of gruesome accidental deaths after the discovery of a toy monkey that is suspected of being cursed. As is often the case with King adaptations, The Monkey uses the short story’s concept while altering its events quite significantly. The result here is a not particularly groundbreaking but very satisfying genre picture.

The first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again was released on January 15, and with three weeks to go until the series premiere, that's pretty much it.
There was some disappointment among fans that Marvel Studios didn't bring the Man Without Fear to the Super Bowl. It was a missed trick to put the hero back on everyone's radar given how popular Netflix's Daredevil was, but it seems the marketing campaign is slowly ramping up.
Two new posters for Daredevil: Born Again have been spotted on the streets of New York City showcasing Charlie Cox's Man Without Fear and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin of Crime. Neither is overly revealing, though they boast the tagline "The Devil's Work Is Never Done" and appear to have been inspired by Muse's street art.
With any luck, we'll have some officially released versions of these eye-catching posters to share with you soon.

Last week, we learned that production has wrapped on a psychological thriller called Sleepwalker, starring Hayden Panettiere of Scream VI. Now, Deadline has revealed that the cast of the film also includes Justin Chatwin (Shameless), Beverly D’Angelo (Violent Night), Mischa Barton (The Oc), Lori Tan Chinn (Orange Is the New Black), Kea Ho (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), Eric Lutes (Caroline in the City), Tom DeNucci (Junction), Rob Goon (The Roaring Game), and newcomers Laird Lacoste and Corinne Sweeney.
Written and directed by Brandon Auman, Sleepwalker follows a grieving mother who is haunted by the tragic loss of her daughter in a car accident that left her abusive husband in a coma. As she battles a surreal descent into darkness, her sleepwalking episodes intensify. Plagued by haunting visions of her husband inside their home, she grapples with the blurred lines between reality and nightmare. This is Auman’s feature directorial debut.

"Captain America: Brave New World" arrives in theaters this week, and Anthony Mackie's titular hero will sport a different look than the one he debuted in "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier." Marvel has been trying since 2024 to fix the MCU before it's too late, and their latest effort tries to solve the problem by asking the question: What if there was a Red Hulk? That is to say, it serves up Harrison Ford as the grotesque carmine creature in an attempt to lure fans to the multiplex. But it's also about Captain America, except it's a different Cap than the one we're used to ... I'm starting to think this might be the point of no return for the MCU. Anyway, I digress.

Eric Bana loves a good Steve McQueen movie. During his visit to the Criterion Closet, the Australian actor — known for his performances in Steven Spielberg’s “Munich” and Ang Lee’s “Hulk” — started his selections by praising the work of Anthony Hopkins in Jonathan Demme’s “The Silence of the Lambs,” but quickly shifted gears toward one of McQueen’s first films, the 1958 version of “The Blob.”
“I grew up in a time where these movies weren’t readily accessible, so you’d have to wait for them to come on television,” said Bana. “And if it was a Saturday and ‘The Blob’ came on, it was like, ‘Game on, we are sitting through ‘The Blob.” I’ve probably seen this film 10 times over the course of my life.”
He added, “This is one of Steve McQueen’s early films, but…one of the most ridiculous films of all time.

Captain America: Brave New World will partly take us back to when the Marvel Cinematic Universe was still at its growing stages. More precisely, to The Incredible Hulk days. Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross at least got some screen time in four more movies, including cameos in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame but then the passing away of William Hurt put Harrison Ford into the character’s shoes, but handling Tim Blake’s Samuel Sterns is what will make a significant difference to the film.
The buildup is missing and all we know is that his brain mutated with Banner’s blood on his open wound the last time we saw him. And he gave that evil smile, so that’s all we have got for now. But know this: Sterns didn’t have grudges against Banner but Ross and Emil Blonsky. So the Leader might be up to something against...

There are certain Marvel comic book crossovers that fans would love to see take place in live-action in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Among them is the hard-hitting and destructive World War Hulk. It's a series where the Hulk has never been more powerful. Or, as it’s said in the comic, “He’s never been angrier, so he’s never been stronger.”
World War Hulk comes after Planet Hulk where some of the Illuminati send the Hulk into space. After another rampage destroys some of Las Vegas (Fantastic Four Nos. 533-534), the self-proclaimed protectors of Earth decided to send Bruce Banner away (Incredible Hulk No. 91). The plan was for him to land on a peaceful planet. Instead, he ends up on a planet plagued with war called Sakaar. While there, he saves Sakaar and falls in love. For the first time in years, Hulk was happy. Unfortunately, that was short-lived.

The team behind “Captain America: Brave New World” recently opened up to The National about introducing Ruth Bat-Seraph (aka Sabra) into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a decision that sparked controversy when news broke in September 2022 that “Unorthodox” Emmy nominee Shira Haas was cast in the role. Sabra is an Israeli superhero and a Mossad agent in the comics. The character’s inclusion in the MCU raised concerns among Palestinians, although Marvel assured fans worldwide that Sabra would be “reworked” for the big screen.
Just how Sarba has been reworked for her MCU debut is now being revealed. After months of speculation and rumors that Marvel had dropped the character’s Israeli ties (which then sparked backlash in Israel), “Captain America: Brave New World” producer Nate Moore now confirms Sabra is an Israeli in the final movie.

In an exciting turn of events for Marvel fans, Liv Tyler is set to reprise her role as Betty Ross in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World, marking her surprising return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The upcoming movie is bringing back key elements from the 2008 movie, The Incredible Hulk, including Harrison Ford’s debut as the new Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.

But the biggest surprise remains Tyler’s return as Betty Ross, the long-lost love interest of Bruce Banner, stepping back into the MCU and igniting the Hulk legacy like never before. With the introduction of Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, her character has largely been absent from the MCU in the years since, with the movie being largely overlooked in favor of newer installments.
However, fans of the MCU are in for a treat with Brave New World.

We've already brought you some pretty exciting rumours today (including major new details on The Fantastic Four: First Steps) and, in this roundup, you'll find lots of noteworthy MCU updates.
These come our way from The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez, and we'll start with news on the Young Avengers/Champions. As suspected, Marvel Studios is going with the latter name because these heroes, well, aren't that young. It's said that Kate Bishop will lead the team, with S.A.B.E.R. and Nick Fury possibly involved in assembling the next generation of Avengers.
Fury supposedly has tabs on many young heroes, including Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Ironheart, Cassie Lang, America Chavez, Wiccan, Speed, Skarr, and Amadeus Cho.
There's no mention of Hulkling, though the site explains he's likely to be a big part of the "Annihilation" arc and, down the road, a storyline involving Wiccan. Marvel Studios also has no immediate plans to introduce...

It was a big enough surprise when Harrison Ford agreed to return to the Star Wars franchise as Han Solo, so the fact he's joined the MCU - as a Red Hulk, no less - is still pretty mind-blowing.
Making his debut in Captain America: Brave New World next month, the actor appears excited to board a franchise he's watched many of his contemporaries have fun in. Beyond that, only time will tell whether Red Hulk is a one-and-done villain or a key part of future stories.
Ford isn't the first actor to play Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross as the late William Hurt was originally cast as the antagonist in 2008's The Incredible Hulk. He took an extended break from the MCU before returning in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Widow.

What If...?'s third and final season received a mixed response from fans and didn't exactly conclude the animated series in a way that left people wanting more.
Interestingly, we did get a last-minute sequence showcasing all manner of Variants that failed to make the cut. Among them were a Maestro-like Hulk, Thanos-erine (the Mad Titan x Wolverine), an Ironheart Punisher, a samurai Ghost Rider, and six-armed Spider-Man.
The latter two are highlighted in newly released concept art shared by Joey Vazquez on X.
Spider-Man is complicated given the character's ties to Sony Pictures (it still feels like a miracle that we even got to see Peter Parker in What If...? season 1's "Marvel Zombies" episode). Why didn't this badass Ghost Rider make the cut? After all, we know the rights to the anti-hero returned to Marvel Studios several years ago.

Ben Affleck saw the writing on the wall way before superhero fatigue became Hollywood’s worst nightmare. Back in the early 2000s, when Marvel was still throwing things at the wall to see what stuck, Affleck had a gut feeling that people might eventually get tired of capes, spandex, and the same old save-the-world formula.

Daredevil: Born Again has undergone major changes since first being announced by Marvel Studios with a creative overhaul upping the action and bringing the series more in line with Netflix's Daredevil.
Showrunner Dario Scardapane has already suggested that the Man Without Fear's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law cameo will be ignored due to it not fitting in with Born Again's darker, violent tone. Now, Kingpin actor Vincent D'Onofrio has strongly hinted that the super-strong Wilson Fisk we saw in Hawkeye has become a little more grounded.
"They were kind of different iterations of the Fisk from the original show," the actor shared with SFX. "My job is to service the story. Hawkeye was one style of show, very far away from the Netflix series, and the way Fisk was written itself - which was really good - was a completely different world."

Captain America: Brave New World releases in just over two weeks. This Valentine’s Day, Sam Wilson will make his big screen debut as Captain America, having already made his screen debut as Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
A lot of details have emerged in the previous weeks about the newest Captain America movie. Its run time is just under two hours, clocking in at one hour and fifty eight minutes making it the shortest of the four Captain America movies. We also know that Sam Wilson has received some Wakandan assistance which allows him to take on a threat as powerful as Red Hulk and perform superhuman like actions. We’ve known for a while now that adamantium, Marvel’s most famous metal, will make its debut and will almost certainly come from the body of the Celestial Tiamut.

The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025 – and during an interview with SFX magazine, showrunner Dario Scardapane, who previously worked on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and the Netflix series The Punisher, said this show will be even darker than the Netflix Daredevil series it follows, with less navel-gazing and more frequent big action sequences.
Although the initial plan was to rework some elements and make Daredevil: Born Again stand separate from the Netflix Daredevil series (despite sharing some cast members), the show underwent a creative overhaul when the writers and actors strikes shut down production in 2023. Now, this series is a direct follow-up to the Netflix series, picking up five years later. Charlie Cox comes out of retirement in Daredevil: Born Again, set to hit the small screen in March. After the brilliant three seasons of the Netflix show, fans will see Matt Murdock go up against Wilson Fisk in this 18-episode series. However, the show might avoid going into one great mess that the MCU created with Cox’s character.

Betty Ross is one of the more forgotten characters of The Hulk’s mythos, whether it be the films or comics. She appeared last in the MCU back in 2008, when Edward Norton was the Incredible Hulk. Essayed by the likes of Jennifer Connely (in Ang Lee’s Hulk film) and Liv Tyler (in the MCU), Betty Ross has always served as the ‘beauty’ part of the Beauty and the Beast dynamic she has going on with Bruce Banner and the Hulk, much to Thaddeus’ charging. However, that dynamic was lost in the MCU, especially after the franchise started shipping Bruce with Natasha.

Charlie Cox has made three appearances as Matt Murdock in the MCU. The first came in Spider-Man: No Way Home when he was revealed to be Peter Parker's "very good" lawyer. He later suited up for a fight scene in Echo but by far his biggest role was in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
In that series, the Man Without Fear squared off with Jennifer Walters before spending the night with his fellow lawyer. Tonally, his role was far more comedic than what we saw on Netflix but still very much in line with the comics (particularly Mark Waid and Chris Samnee's critically acclaimed Daredevil run).
Fans were divided on whether that was the best use of the Man Without Fear and it sounds like Daredevil: Born Again will be keeping things far more serious and in line with his previous solo series.

These days, crafting a standalone Marvel story feels almost impossible, especially with every project tied into the bigger MCU web. Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapane knows this all too well. While planning the Disney+ series, he quickly learned how the MCU’s larger plans could limit creative freedom.
In an interview with SFX magazine, Scardapane explained that while he had creative flexibility early on, some ideas had to be reworked because they clashed with Marvel’s grand strategy.

Captain America: Brave New World Teaser Features New Footage; Better Look At Red Hulk Popcorn Bucket
Following last night's international poster, we have a Japanese teaser for Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World, along with a better look at one of several popcorn buckets that'll be available in theaters in the build-up to the movie's release next month.
The TV spot is mostly made up of previously-seen footage, but it begins with some new shots of President Ross (Harrison Ford) meeting with a high-ranking Japanese diplomat.
According to some leaked plot details, The US and Japan will butt heads when the latter takes control of the Adamantium reserves mined from the Celestial known as Tiamut, who was frozen mid-Emergence towards the end of Eternals.
Full press screenings for Brave New World aren't expected to take place until early February, but we're hearing that 30-minute previews are being held a lot sooner (possibly even next week), and social media reactions will be allowed afterwards.

Late-night TV stars are often called "comedy heroes" by their adoring fans. But for a select view, they've entered the world of superheroes thanks to cameos in Avengers comics.
Some late-night hosts may fancy themselves heroes for the way they take on the villains of the day, throwing punchlines instead of punches. However, most would agree that they're just trying to lighten the mood rather than save the day.
The rise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has brought countless stars to late-night TV to discuss their superhero roles. Yet the connection between late-night TV and the Avengers goes beyond just the screen.
These three late-night TV cameos prove Marvel's sense of humor isn't just limited to a few quippy big-screen heroes in spandex and CGI.
