The UNT Libraries provide a number of resources and services for the wider community, as well as serve as a hub of activity on campus for special events. This page provides quick access to some of the most important information we provide for community members, alumni, and other visitors.

##Parking and Public Transportation

We recommend you park in lot 25, paying with Parkmobile, or in the Highland Street Garage. For longer visits, please see “Purchase a Day Pass” below.

Purchase a Day Pass

Think you will be here for longer than two hours? Purchase a Day Pass for $5 with UNT Transportation Services and park in Eagle lots. Visit the UNT Parking Portal and login with your EUID or create a guest account to purchase a pass. You will need to bring a printed copy of your day pass to put on your dashboard when you come to campus for your visit.

Public Transit Options

Borrowing Items

  • Visitors need a courtesy card to check out library materials. Visit the Courtesy Cards webpage to review eligibility options, including residency in Denton County (proof in the form of current government ID required).

    • Community Patrons have a 6-week checkout for 10 items at a time
  • The UNT Libraries is a member of the TexShare program.

To learn more about borrowing materials and related policies, visit the Check Out Materials webpage. Visitors who have obtained a courtesy card can view their library account online.

Computers, Printing, Scanning, Copies

  • Interlibrary loan (Illiad)
  • Student computer workstations and laptops
  • Access to Course Reserve materials
  • Course-specific instruction
  • Remote access to our licensed databases
  • No Public Wi-Fi
    • One exception is that UNT is a member of the EDUROAM community, allowing other patrons of other members of the community to log in via their credentials.
