About the editors

Xin-She Yang obtained his D.Phil. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Oxford. He then worked at the Cambridge University and the National Physical Laboratory (UK) as a Senior Research Scientist. He is currently a Reader in Modelling and Optimization at the Middlesex University London and an Adjunct Professor at the Reykjavik University (Iceland). He is also an elected Bye-Fellow at the Cambridge University as well as the IEEE CIS Chair for the Task Force on Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management. He is included in the “2016 Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers” list.

Simon Sherratt is a Professor of Consumer Electronics at the University of Reading. His research has primarily been on OFDM, particularly for digital TV and wireless USB. He specializes in DSP system architecture and hardware implementation. Simon is leading the development of the wireless communications and on-body sensors for Reading’s part in Sphere. Prof. Sherratt is the current Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics and an elected member of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society Board of Governors. Simon is a Fellow of the IET and Fellow of the IEEE.

Nilanjan Dey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, Techno India College of Technology, Kolkata, W.B., India. He holds an honorary position of a Visiting Scientist at Global Biomedical Technologies Inc., CA, USA, and is a Research Scientist at the Laboratory of Applied Mathematical Modeling in Human Physiology, Territorial Organization of Scientific and Engineering Unions, Bulgaria. He is an Associate Researcher of Laboratoire RIADI, University of Manouba, Tunisia. His research focuses on medical imaging, soft computing, data mining, machine learning, rough sets, computer-aided diagnosis, and atherosclerosis. He has published 20 books and 300 international conference and journal papers. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence, International Journal of Rough Sets and Data Analysis, the International Journal of Synthetic Emotions (IJSE), and the International Journal of Natural Computing Research. He is also the Editor of the Advances in Geospatial Technologies (AGT) book series, Executive Editor of the International Journal of Image Mining (IJIM), and Associate Editor of IEEE Access journal and the International Journal of Service Science, Management, Engineering and Technology. He is a life member of IE, UACEE, and ISOC.

Amit Joshi is Director of Global Knowledge Research Foundation, Ahmedabad, India. He holds an B.Tech. in Information Technology and an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, who is pursuing research in the areas of cloud computing and cryptography. He has 6 years of academic and industrial experience in the prestigious organizations in Udaipur and Ahmedabad. He is an active member of ACM, CSI, AMIE, IACSIT-Singapore, IDES, ACEEE, NPA, and many other professional societies. He has presented and published more than 30 papers in national and international IEEE and ACM journals/conferences. He has also edited three books on diverse subjects and has organized more than 15 national and international conferences and workshops. For his contribution to the society, he received awards from The Institution of Engineers (India), ULC, in 2014, and from SIG-WNs Computer Society of India in 2012.
