Abstract

A gated balanced comparator on tunnel diodes in which the tunnel diode is used as a gated signal shaper is studied using simulation and calculations. The optimal resistance in the circuit of the gated signal and the necessary amplitude of the triggering impulse for the gated signal shaper are simulated and calculated. The program T-Spice, produced by Tanner, is used to simulate the gated balanced comparator.
