Abstract
The article deals with the problematic issues of crime investigation in connection with the transition to electronic and digital law enforcement in criminal proceedings: - the authors analyze the ideas proposing to abandon the investigative standard of evidence formation and the investigation report as a source of evidence in the criminal procedure; - the researchers reveal the peculiarities of electronic document management in crime investigation including the use of the information system “Electronic passport of criminal case” concerning investigated, suspended criminal cases with indictment sent to the Prosecutor; - the paper explores the possibilities of electronic digital law enforcement associated with collecting and examining evidence in the investigation of crimes.
The article is intended for scientists, practitioners and all those who are interested in the issues of electronic and digital law enforcement in crime investigation.
