Abstract
Cyber threat intelligence plays a significant role in defending against the ever increasingly frequent, varied and sophisticated cyber-attacks. Threat intelligence is information about the cyber threats and threat actors that helps execute harmful events within the cyber domain. Our work will present the importance of cyber threat intelligence and the way its different sources play an important role in defending assets against cyber-attacks and maintenance of law and order in the present day scenario. We are going to discuss different algorithms/techniques for cyber threat intelligence gathering, related sources, and parameters of evaluation. This paper gives an in-depth review of a variety of cyber threat intelligence sources and prototypes that are used to extract data and detect cyber threats. Social media intelligence and open-source intelligence could be a method of collecting information from publicly available sources; we’ll discuss the role of social media and open-source intelligence in global health security management in situations like infectious disease outbreaks. Correlation between social media intelligence and open-source intelligence and different prototypes supported these sources. And also, we discussed the difficulties and challenges faced in gathering and detecting cyber threat intelligence.
