'101, MILKY WAY' is a real treasure from Klaus Schulzes musical legacy. It is one of those KS works that absolutely need to be presented to the world, and as such it is part of our obligation to share all of his music with all of you. And of course the genesis of this album - as always - has its very own history: It all began at the end of 2008 with an enquiry from a German film production company asking if Klaus would perhaps create the score for a planned film documentary about computer hackers. In the end, this turned into a complete KS album, from which the director of the documentary film 'Hacker' - Alex Biedermann - was only to use small parts as soft background music. With '101, MILKY WAY', the complete work is now available for the first time - it is a greeting from Klaus' new cosmic home somewhere in the universe.

"101, MILKY WAY" ist ein wahrer Schatz aus Klaus Schulzes musikalischen Vermächtnis. Es ist eines dieser KS-Werke, die unbedingt der Welt präsentiert werden müssen und natürlich hat die Entstehungsgeschichte dieses Albums - wie immer - ihre ganz eigene Geschichte:
Alles begann Ende 2008 mit der Anfrage einer deutschen Filmproduktionsfirma, ob Klaus vielleicht die Musik für eine geplante Filmdokumentation über Computerhacker kreieren würde. Am Ende wurde daraus ein komplettes Studiolbum, aus dem der Regisseur des Dokumentarfilms "Hacker" - Alex Biedermann - aber nur kleine Teile als sanfte Hintergrundmusik verwenden sollte.
Mit "101, MILKY WAY" liegt nun erstmals das Gesamtwerk vor - ein Gruß aus Klaus' neuer kosmischer Heimat irgendwo im Universum.

honestly this album takes quite a bit of time and many listening rounds to actually "get into". No doubt it is technically excellent, with more advanced composition elements than earlier records, however it isn't that easily accessible either. Perhaps this is actually a strength as each time you will listen to there will be more details to discover. Martin R
