Antonio Rossi, MD

Dr. Rossi received his medical degree from the Medical School of “Federico II” University of Naples in 1991 and he became board certified in Medical Oncology in 1997 at the Medical School of “Federico II” University of Naples. He completed his Medical Oncology Residency at the Medical School of “Federico II” University of Naples. In 1998, Dr. Rossi joined the Division of Medical Oncology of the “S. Carlo” Hospital of Potenza. In 2002 Dr. Rossi was recruited to the “S.G. Moscati” Hospital of Avellino as staff physician of Medical Oncology until January 2017 when he started working at the Fondazione IRCCS Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza of San Giovanni Rotondo as Medical Oncologist of the Lung Unit.

Dr. Rossi’s research focuses on lung cancer. He is directly involved in the clinical research and drug development of non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. He is the author of many articles published in International journals and book chapters on these issues. Dr. Rossi has provided presentations on lung cancer management around Italy and abroad. He has published over 300 papers and has written over 10 book chapters.

Dr. Rossi is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM), and the Italian Association of Thoracic Oncology (AIOT). He has been involved in the development and publication of treatment guidelines related to lung cancer for AIOM and AIOT.
