INTRODUCTION:
As the pandemic restrictions ease out, the institution deems it beneficial to allow students to return to the classroom and resume the full face-to-face modality this school year 2023– 2024. This move would certainly enable them to maximize their learning experiences as in-person interactions with their teachers and classmates would be put ideally in place as before.
Returning to this set-up is never without health risks but the institution has aptly prepared contingency measures to address such probable predicament , a matter of balancing academic goals without putting into risk the health conditions of the students.
I. CURRICULUM
A. CURRICULUM LEVERAGE
True to our motto of promoting a Whole Child curriculum, all endeavors for SY 2023-2024 shall be geared towards the tenets of Whole Child: Healthy, Safe, Challenged, Engaged, Supported. Alongside those the development of the four essentials Cs for 21st Century learners will be consciously pursued: Communication, Critical and Analytical Thinking, Collaboration and Creativity

3. Senior High School - Grade 11 and 12 students will take the subjects per semester as prescribed by DepEd..
D. LEARNING MODE
Full Face-to-Face Modality
The same semestral scheme is to be followed for 2023– 2024 to maintain the ease of addressing the students’ concerns regarding overloaded subjects each week.
Pre-School - Junior Kinder and Senior Kinder pupils will have four (4) sets of examination per semester.
2. Elementary & Junior High School – Grade 1 – 10 pupils/students will have four (4) sets of examination per semester.
The school resumes its previous learning modality where students meet with the teachers at regularly scheduled sessions within the same physical classroom environment.
E. INSTRUCTION TIME
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. SWIMMING LESSONS WILL BE PART OF THE PE CURRICULUM FOR:
* GRADES 1-6- FIRST SEMESTER
* GRADES 7-10- SECOND SEMESTER
* GRADES 11- 12- AS INDICATED IN THEIR SCHEDULE
2. EACH SUBJECT CAN ALLOT A ONE HOUR INDEPENDENT LEARNING/ RESEARCH PERIOD EACH WEEK. SPECIFIC DETAILS ABOUT THE ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED FOR SUCH PERIOD MUST BE PART OF THE TOOLBOX.

II. ASSESSMENT
A. Summative Quiz
Students shall take the weekly summative tests under the supervision of teachers. All results of summative tests are recorded and weighted under Written Works.
B. Recitation
Recitations are graded according to a Standard Rubric and are recorded under Performance Tasks.
E. Periodical Examination
These are quarterly tests that are weighted under Quarterly Assessment.
F. Performance Assessment Tests
G.R.A.C.E. (Global Resources for Assessment, Curriculum and Evaluation) of Phoenix Publishing House administers the pre– and post–tests for Grades 1– 10, to guide teachers in making informed and data– based decisions.

C. Mini Tasks
The mini tasks are done during the last contact time in a week under the supervision of the teacher.
D. Performance Tasks
A performance task is a learning activity that requires students to perform and demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and proficiency related to the lesson whereby they are to yield a tangible product or result.
NCAE (National Career Assessment Examination) is administered by DepEd to Grade 12 students.
III. CAPACITY BUILDING MECHANISMS FOR STUDENTS
1. Enhancing Leadership
Leadership is cultivated by giving chances for students to be part of student governance and volunteering opportunities.
2. Intensification of Co-curricular Activities
Clubs are organized by assigned moderators to
complement academic activities with tangible activities that add more meaning to learning and discovering.
3. Class Merging
SHS classes are merged with those from Dominican College San Juan to give more dynamism in learner interaction.
IV. OTHER MATTERS
A. Government Subsidy
Aquinas School has been a beneficiary of the Student Subsidy coursed thru the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC).
1. Junior High School (ESC) – Beginning grade7, all students with Filipino nationality are entitled for a Php 13,000 annual subsidy.
2. Senior High School (SHS Voucher)Grade 11 and 12 students are entitled for :
2.1. Php 18,000 subsidy - for students from private schools
2.2. Php 22,500 subsidy - for students from public schools
B. Video Conference Application
For online sessions, Aquinas School will utilize the licensed education zoom accounts.
C. Learning Management System
To manage students’ outputs and examination-taking with ease, Aquinas School will continue to utilize Phoenix ARALINKS LMS.
D. Online Library Subscription
To assist the students in their research works, Aquinas School will continue to utilize the World E-Book, which contains 25,000 volumes of E-books.

VI. ON THE POSSIBILITY OF ADAPTING OTHER MODALITIES DURING EMERGENCY CASES
Aquinas School opens its doors to grade 10 completers from public school who aspire to obtain a senior high school diploma from a private institution, by accepting the SHS Voucher amounting to Php 22,500 as payment for the tuition fee for the whole school year.
To ensure learning continuity even amid unexpected circumstances, the school continues to render the services of online platforms with licensed accounts under Zoomlink and Aralinks LMS.
