This Lavender Lemonade is an easy, unique, and refreshing beverage that takes a classic drink to a whole new level of deliciousness. Itโs a sip of sunshine with a sweet floral twist!
In this post, weโre making Lavender Lemonade. I previously shared a post on how to make lavender simple syrup and promised Iโd be back with a few recipe ideas to use the syrup. I thought we could start off with something simple and approachable. This twist on lemonade was the perfect jumping-off point.
To be honest, I never thought I would be a fan of lavender in a drink. However, in June I visited a lavender farm in France and I was surprised and captivated by how sweet the lavender smelled. I suppose I was more familiar with an overly floral-smelling lavender that I wouldnโt want to taste, but being surrounded by this natural scent totally changed my mind.
Iโm happy to report that Iโm officially a fan of this Lavender Lemonade. After trying a touch of lavender in this recipe, Iโm even more excited to experiment with lavender in additional recipes. I think youโre going to enjoy this Lavender Lemonade too!
Why Youโll Love This Recipe
- Lemonade is a refreshing and cooling drink, making it perfect for hot summer days or any time you need a thirst-quenching beverage.
- While classic lemonade is beloved, adding lavender introduces an exciting, unique, and sophisticated flavor to the lemonade, elevating it from a typical lemonade to a memorable and special drink.
- The homemade lavender simple syrup allows you to control the sweetness of the lemonade, striking a perfect balance between the natural tartness of lemons and the floral sweetness of lavender.
Ingredients
You only need a handful of ingredients to stir up this Lavender Lemonade. Hereโs what youโll need:
- Lemon Juice: Freshly squeezed lemon juice provides the base flavor for the Lavender Lemonade. It offers a tangy and citrusy taste that balances the sweetness of the lavender simple syrup.
- Water: Water is used to dilute the lemon juice, ensuring the lemonade is not overly sour and providing a hydrating base for the beverage.
- Lavender Simple Syrup: Lavender simple syrup is made by infusing water with sugar and dried culinary lavender buds. (Be sure to check out my recipe for Lavender Syrup.) It adds a delicate floral aroma and a sweet flavor to the lemonade, elevating it from regular lemonade to lavender-infused goodness.
- Ice Cubes: Ice cubes are added to the lemonade to chill the drink and make it more refreshing, especially on hot days.
- Fresh Lavender Sprigs (for garnish): Fresh lavender sprigs are used as a decorative garnish for the Lavender Lemonade. The sprigs add a lovely visual touch and reinforce the lavender aroma.
Oh, and I canโt forget these adorable gold bee cocktail stirrers. Arenโt they bee-utiful? Iโve used them to decorate so many cocktail recipes (include this Beeโs Knees Cocktail and this Peach Raspberry Bellini.)

Make it a Cocktail
You can easily turn the Lavender Lemonade into a cocktail by adding a spirit of your choice. I recommend gin or vodka.

Mix 2 oz vodka (or gin), 1 oz lavender simple syrup, and 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a glass with ice. Top up with 4 oz cold water and stir. Garnish with fresh lavender and lemon slice. Enjoy!
Itโs so easy and so delicious!
