Antioxidants were applied to sweet pepper varieties which had a significant effect on physiology, yield and quality of sweet pepper. Among those treatments, ascorbic acid (AA) at 200 ppm with salicylic acid (SA) at 200 ppm was more potential to enhance chlorophyll a (30%), chlorophyll b (39.39%), total chlorophyll (33.73%), number of flower plant-1 (17.63%), number of fruits plants-1 (56.73%), fruit yield plant-1 (43.61%), total soluble sugar (28.67%) and vitamin C (22.75%) compare to control. The variety of BARI Mistimorich-2 produces 4.55% higher fruit yield than BARI Mistimorich-1. Among those antioxidants, AA at 200 ppm with SA at 200 ppm demonstrate the best potentiality to solved flower and fruit dropping problems and ultimately lead to higher production of sweet pepper.

The primary goal of PCNL is to achieve stone free status while minimizing morbidity and complications. In recent years, the instruments used have been miniaturized in an effort to decrease morbidity associated with standard PCNL as well as increase the efficacy of stone removal. The aim of this study is to compare the safety and efficacy of PCNL using different tract size. Materials and methods: This hospital based prospective interventional study was conducted on patients with 1 to 4 cm renal stones who underwent PCNL either by Minior Standard PCNL technique in Chattogram Medical College Hospital and different private hospitals in Chittagong from July 2016 to June 2018. Patients aged above 12 years of age, irrespective of gender with normal renal function were evaluated to compare stone clearance, total operative time, need for blood transfusion, postoperat...

The length, weight, average FCR value, Average SGR value, Daily weight gain, survival rate of fish were observed. Relationship between growth and physico-chemical parameter of water were also investigated for monosex and XY male tilapia. The finding of the study reveals that growth performance of naturally collected XY male tilapia is close to monosex tilapia. The SGR value was found better in monosex than XY male tilapia. . Among them, survival rate was found 95.06% in case of monosex whereas it was 93.67% for XY male. At the end of the experiment, average weight of monosex (179.5±1.32g) was found higher than XY male tilapia (167.8±1.10g). Average length of monosex (20.1±0.25cm) was also found higher than XY male tilapia (19.5...

Four Gram-positive and Five Gram-negative bacteria namely Bacillus megaterium, Bacillus subtiIis, Streptococcus β - haemolyticus, staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi, Shigella dysenteriae, Shigella shiga, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were practiced. The Extract was unsuccessful at concentration of 30μg/disc but showed moderate to good activity at concentration of 200μg/disc against the tested pathogens. The leaf extract revealed better activity displaying their zone of inhibitions 9-18 mm and largest zone was shown against Shigella Dysenteriae (18 mm). From these findings it is investigative that Cassia fistula may have antibacterial principles that could be useful in microbial diseases.

Experiments have been conducted to examine the adsorption of phenol and phenolic compounds from industrial effluent by using agricultural wastes on Rice Straw and were carried out for the analysis of adsorption equilibrium capacities using a batch equilibrium technique. Batch adsorption isotherm studies were carried out under varying experimental conditions of contact time, operational temperature, adsorbent dose, initial phenol concentration, particle size and pH of phenol solution. Adsorption equilibrium of Rice Straw was reached within 3 hour for phenol concentration 500μg/L. Kinetics of adsorption obeyed a first-order rate equation. The suitability of the Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption models to the equilibrium data were investigated for phenol-sorbent system. The results showed that the equilibrium data for all the phenol-sorbent systems fi...

While silver carp had similar levels of motile sperm in early and mid seasons (early: 96±1%; mid: 95±1%), highest motile sperm in bighead carp was found only in the early season (95±1%). Sperm concentration in the three spawning seasons were 3.15±0.02 ×10 9 mL -1 (early); 2.91±0.04 ×10 9 mL -1 (mid); 2.60±0.14 ×10 9 mL -1 (late) in silver carp and 2.96±0.03 ×10 9 mL -1 (early); 2.79±0.02 ×10 9 mL -1 (mid); 2.65±0.12 ×10 9 mL -1 (late) in bighead carp. In silver carp, fertilization rate observed across spawning seasons were 75±3% (early); 61±1% (mid); 61±2% (late). However, drastic changes in fertilizability was observed in bighead carp (early: 79±3%; mid: 60±3% and late: 25±2%). Of the seminal plasma components, chloride and total ...
